TDM city War Veterans’ Society registers to carry out 120 green-clean-nice roads in quarters

TDM city’s War Veterans’ Society yesterday held a conference to partially sum up the five-year implementation of the joint program on the campaign of “Vietnamese war veterans keeping traffic safety” for the period of 2014-2018.

Under the campaign, the society and its branches over the past five years set up good models on traffic safety, namely “Self-management group on traffic safety”, “Club on law dissemination”…Their officials and members also donated more than 2,500 square meters of land and nearly VND1billion to making roads in accordance with the motto of “The State and people work together”; registered to realize 120 green-clean-nice roads in quarters; coordinated with relevant agencies to make 1,950 patrols…

With the above significant activities, the campaign contributed to reducing traffic accidents in all three criteria: the number of accident cases, the number of deaths and the number of injuries; mobilizing people to restore order on pavements in many streets.
