TDM joins hands to build up a civilized and modern city

As a political, economic, socio-cultural hub of the province, along with realizing socio-economic development tasks, TDM city has attached special importance to making urban rejuvenation and effectively implementing the campaign of “Civilized urban and cultural lifestyle”. This is one of the city’s major tasks in concretizing provincial Party Committee’s Program No.22-Ctr/TU dated August 15, 2016 on “Civilized urban development towards improving the quality of people’s life”.

Focusing on urban rejuvenation

Under the instruction of provincial People’s Committee together with the local Party, government and people’s determination, solidarity and flexibility, TDM city’s urbanization speed has taken place vigorously with a synchronous infrastructure system, deserving to be a political, economic, socio-cultural hub of the province.

A glance of TDM city

Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice-Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee, Chairman of TDM city’s People’s Committee said that the city’s urban space has been expanded with functional sections. The city has also paid attention to construction planning with new urban areas built in a modern and synchronous way. Many key traffic works have been invested, making the city get more spacious, beautiful and cleaner. In addition, the city has focused on building social welfare works…

The city’s public land fund of nearly 50 hectares is being used to build parks. The city has also fulfilled the growing of green trees on many streets and constructed a total of 30 parks. In 2018, the city will further build additional 35 parks, helping people relax after hard working and studying hours. The city will boost construction of asphalt and concrete alleys; drastically restore urban order, make environmental hygiene and traffic safety…Accordingly, the city’s Party Committee has issued the Directive No.06 on strengthening the Party’s leadership over a task on ensuring urban order-construction order.

Civilized, clean and beautiful city

Apart from urban rejuvenation, TDM city has implemented a project on the organization of the “Building civilized urban-cultural lifestyle” campaign for the period of 2016-2020. Bui Minh Thanh, Permanent Vice-Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee said that the city has concentrated on realizing the campaign and reached initial results. Implementing the campaign has also received enthusiastic response from people from all strata of the city.

In order to effectively carry out the campaign, the city has set many new models, including self-management groups on environment and order-security. The city has so far implemented plans on improving the quality and effectiveness of collecting and transporting solid waste; enhancing the effectiveness of using expenditure for environmental protection…All aim to build up a greener and clearer TDM city.

In a recent meeting with the city’s Party Committee about the implementation of the Resolution of the 12^th national Party congress and the Resolution of the 10^th provincial Party congress for the 2015-2020 tenure with focus on provincial Party Committee’s 4 breakthrough programs, Tran Van Nam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly delegation acknowledged the efforts by the city in realizing these programs, especially in civilized urban and cultural lifestyle construction and infrastructure development. He also stressed that the city must make more efforts in urban development, affirming its role as a socio-economic development engine of the province.

With the above efforts, it is believed that TDM city will get more civilized, prosperous and beautiful.
