Implementing the Project on improving the quality of the local campaign "Building an urban civilized-cultural lifestyle", Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city’s Fatherland Front Committees (FFCs) at all levels have coordinated with member organizations to mobilize people to further improve the quality of the campaign in order to promote the sense of responsibility, the active participation of the political system and people from all strata in the construction and development of the city, people of Thu - Binh Duong land full of humanity with civilized and polite behavior.

Civilized city from civilized citizens

Hoa Phu is a central ward of Binh Duong new city with resettlement areas, service- urban industrial parks plus a complex. Especially, most workers are immigrants and the locality always considers temporary residents as equal as permanent ones. In the ward, there is also Becamex Hoa Loi social housing area, providing accommodations for more than 5,000 low-income people.

From the above facts, in order to respond and implement the campaign "Building an urban-civilized and cultural lifestyle" and integrate the emulation movement "Binh Duong joins hands for the poor, leaving no one behind". Hoa Phu ward’s FFC has built a model of "Housing with compassion, kindness, and civilized behavior" in Becamex Hoa Loi social housing area. Since being established, the ward’s FFC has mobilized organizations and individuals to support and receive monthly sponsorship for 4 disadvantaged people and lonely elderly people. The monthly support level for each subject is VND 500,000 in cash, along with rice and necessities worth VND 800,000. At the model launching ceremony, the organizers also gave 10 gifts worth VND500,000 each for pregnant women with difficult circumstances…

According to the ward’s FFC, one of outstanding features in the implementation of the model "House of kindness, affection, civilized behavior" is to be associated with the criterion of "city with three no-s, four good performances", "citizen with five exemplary things”; organize “zero dong” meals on the 1st and 15th of the lunar calendar every month. In addition, an eatery in Becamex Hoa Loi social housing area has supported free 50 daily meals for people with difficult circumstances.

The establishment of the model aims at mobilizing donors to join hands in helping lonely elderly people and those with difficult circumstances, creating solidarity in the community.

Many good models, creative ways

In Phu Loi ward, the implementation of the project on improving the quality of the campaign "Building an urban civilized- cultural lifestyle” has its own characteristics. With the goal of building cultural features, urban civilization, urban civilized alleys, the ward’s FFC and mass organizations are continuing mobilizing socialization resources to serve as gateways for alleys, thereby contributing to well realizing the project under the motto of “the State and people work together”.

In addition, the ward’s FFC has advised the ward's Steering Committee for the Project on asking for people along the local main roads and alleys to write registration for the good implementation of contents such as taking care of flowers, green trees in front of their houses; sanitizing areas in front of their houses, not grazing livestock or poultry on sidewalks...In general, through well realizing the task of mobilizing organizations, individuals and enterprises in the implementation of "Building an urban civilized -cultural lifestyle" with socialization funding has contributed to raising people's awareness in joining hands with the locality to strive to build features of urban culture – civilization towards building a more civilized, prosperous and beautiful Phu Loi.

The city’s FFC and socio-political organizations have set up many practical and specific programs so that the campaign will spread more and more widely and bring about high social effects, arousing the spirit of solidarity, helping each other develop economic models, reduce poverty sustainably and improve people's material and spiritual lives. Some typical models can be mentioned such as: "Self-management group for environmental protection and climate change response", "Civilized - green - clean - beautiful street", "Do not use bottled water at meetings", "Self-management group on traffic safety", "Self-management group on preventing drug related crimes", "Security cameras"...

"Upholding results done, further improving the effectiveness of the campaign "Building an urban civilized -cultural lifestyle" in the city, the Standing Board of the city's FFC has directed the FFCs of wards to build a model of "motorcycle group for a civilized city" with encouraging results", Mr. Thanh added.
