TDM Women's Union spends over VND2.4 billion on social charity work

Since early this year, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city’s Women's Union has organized a lot of meaningful social charity programs.

Specifically, the city’s Women’s Union and its branches organized a program named  "Bright eyes with love" with 200 members, women with difficult circumstances being treated and  9 women under free eye surgery with a total amount of VND148million; awarded 1,300 notebooks and learning tools, 33 scholarships to disadvantaged students in the city with a total value of nearly VND 30 million. Under the "Godmother" program, the city’s Women's Union donated gifts and scholarships to 28 children whose parents died, due to Covid-19 with a total value of more than VND 234 million.

Besides, the city’s Women’s Unions at all levels gave 5,747 gifts worth nearly VND 2 billion for children and female workers at lodging facilities with difficult circumstances; donated 1 charity house worth VND 80 million to a poor member in Phu Cuong ward…
