Binh Duong province has aimed at green, smart and sustainable development, being a worth-living place with sentimental attachment. To do that, the province must have human resources, especially high-quality ones. Therefore, Thu Dau Mot University (TDMU) needs to make more efforts from investing in facilities, building up a contingent of lecturers to organizing scientific research, etc., contributing to training high-quality human resources at development requirements in the coming time. In recent 3 years, the school has rearranged, redesigned training contents and organized a 2-phase training program to create flexibility in choosing majors, keeping up with the requirements of professional competence of the labor market as well as creating a knowledge base for learners' lifelong learning requirements; focused on training information technology, digital transformation, foreign languages, social skills for students; organized training programs, field trips abroad for students in some majors on economics and foreign languages.

So far, there have been 30,000 school graduates joining the labor market in Binh Duong province, the Southeast region and the whole country, highly appreciated by employers. Many students have achieved high achievements at olympic competitions, in scientific research, business startup and at many creative, cultural and sports competitions at ministerial, national and provincial levels. The school has started postgraduate training programs since 2015. Currently, there are 11 postgraduate training majors and 1 PhD training major with the annual enrollment target of 200 students. The total number of the school’s postgraduates is 1,380.

At the working session, the school's leaders and lecturers also presented a number of difficulties in terms of material facilities. Besides, lecturers’ foreign language capacity to meet the requirements of international integration and exchange with foreign schools is still limited. The fields of humanities and social sciences and pedagogy have a small number of students... The school’s leaders also suggested that along with investment in material facilities, the province should research training orders by address and research funding, application and transfer of science and technology.

Speaking at the working session, Mr. Loi highly appreciated the operational results of TDMU. After 13 years of establishment, the school has attracted a large number of students across the country to study. For Binh Duong, to do that, according to provincial Party Committee Secretary, human resources, especially high-quality ones are one of the decisive factors and TDMU plays an important role in training human resources for the province. Therefore, the school should further overcome difficulties, unite and take responsibility to develop it into a high-quality university with international scale, being a place training high-quality human resources for the province; focus on building a contingent of high-quality lecturers because only good lecturers can attract good students; attach special importance to scientific research, producing valuable products to serve people's life as well as the local development; pay attention to pedagogical training programs at the local education sector’s needs for human resource.

Mr. Loi also shared with the school's difficulties and said that the province will further have working sessions with the school to discuss policies to remove the above-mentioned difficulties. However, he asked for the school to deal with its obstacles under the spirit of "self-examination, self-correction" for better development. He also assigned leaders of provincial People's Committee to actively consider and resolve the school's recommendations during the operational process while asking for the school to coordinate with provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission, provincial Youth Union to organize many orientation activities on ideological politics, ethics and lifestyle for students. Provincial Department of Education and Training was also ordered to set up policies to support teachers, bilingual learning programs and make innovation.

Visiting the Center for Community Initiatives and Start-up Support, Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of provincial Party Committee praised the center’s practical activities that have contributed to the local common development. He emphasized that in the coming time, science and technology will play an increasingly important role in development, so he suggested that the province's science and technology sector in general and the Center for Community Initiatives and Start-up Support to continue reaching stronger growth, especially in research, transfer and application of science and technology into production and people's lives. Provincial Department of Science and Technology needs to mobilize forces from schools, institutes and relevant units to join with the province in implementing the local policy of digital transformation towards digital economy and digital society...The center needs to well maintain activities in order to well perform its function of connecting and developing the local startup ecosystem.
