TDMU sets up faculty of medicine and pharmacy

On February 25, Thu Dau Mot University (TDMU) held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, in attendance of Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh was assigned as Head of the school’s Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy. Along with announcing the decision to establish the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, the school also launched a moral council in postgraduate; signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Under the cooperation agreement, TDMU and the two units will have strategic cooperation in human resource development, community service in scientific research. In the first phase of establishment (2022-2023), the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy will train 3 faculties: biomedical engineering, public health and medical testing. The establishment of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy under TDMU is an important milestone in the strategy of perfecting the model of a multi-disciplinary university at the needs of society.
