Tet food safety and hygiene under scrutiny

The Market Management Team No. 4 has just coordinated with departments in Phu Giao district to conduct a quick inspection tour on a number of food items in Phuoc Vinh town on the occasion of the 2024 Tet ( Lunar New Year) festival.

Accordingly, the delegation inspected food production, processing, business establishments and catering services at Phuoc Vinh market. The delegation focused on establishments that produce and sell food items that are widely used during Tet. As a result, 47 samples were found to contain borax and formaldehyde. The delegation made propaganda and campaigned for their destruction. Through the inspection tour, production and business households basically complied with food safety regulations. The delegation also propagandized the use of raw materials for processing and production that must have a clear origin, absolutely not using additives outside the permitted list, keeping the processing and storage places clean to ensure safety.
