Tet gifts offered to needy women, workers living away from home

Under the instruction of provincial Women’s Union, the Women’s Union branches of districts, towns and cities have mobilized organizations, individuals to offer gifts to needy women and workers living away from home to stay in the province for the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2021.

Accordingly, the “beloved spring” program was organized in 8 communes and wards of Ben Cat town. The town’s Women’s Union branches offered more than 200 Tet gifts worth VND500,000 each to poor members, women and female workers living away from home.

The Women’s Union of Dinh Hoa ward in Thu Dau Mot city also mobilized Nguyen Thi Kim to donate 30 gifts worth VND450,000 each to the local poor and near-poor households. The practical deed aims to express the attention of the local Women’s Union to poor women, encouraging them to surmount difficulties and rise up in life.

The “beloved spring”, “connecting love”, “spring for alien workers” programs will continue being implemented on the next days. Provincial Women’s Unions and its branches will coordinate with proprietors, heads of quarters to disseminate Covid-19 prevention and control, give face masks, hand sanitizer and Tet gifts for needy workers to stay in the province for Tet
