Thao represents Vietnam at Miss International pageant

Miss Ocean Dang Thu Thao left Vietnam to Japan for the Miss International 2014 beauty contest yesterday, October 27.

Miss International is one of the largest beauty pageants in the world. This year the event takes place from October 26 through November 11.

Before going to Japan, Thao worked with fashion designer Vo Viet Chung, stylists and make-up artists to choose costumes for the events.

They decided to choose Vietnamese ao dai (traditional long dress), which is very impressive to foreigners. Thao will wear ao dai in various activities of Miss International pageant, including bazaar charity nights and press conferences.

The 2014 Miss International pageant will be the 54th edition of the Miss International pageant held on November 11, 2014 at Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo, Japan. Bea Santiago of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.
