The 2016 national high school exam concludes successfully

On Jul 4, students completed 2 last subjects (history and biology) of the 2016 national high school exam. At the competition cluster No. 54 (Binh Duong Province), the exam concluded successfully, contestants completed the exam with a not so tense mood, although tests had high classification.

This year is the first year that Ministry of Education – Training organized competition clusters at localities. HCMC University of Economics – Law in collaboration with provincial Department of Education – Training and Thu Dau Mot University chaired the Binh Duong competition cluster. Thanks to the attention from provincial Examination Steering Committee and a high sense of responsibility of the 3 units and related agencies, all preparations for the national exam were done carefully. The happiest thing is that social order and security was guaranteed. Public security sent delegations to guard exam questions delivery and ensure safety and security at testing locations.

 

After each test, contestants exchanges their results

Students were trained carefully by teachers several months earlier, so they entered the exam confidently. On the other hand, this year's contestants were able to sit the exam right at their locality, which was very convenient for contestants. Because this year’s exam has 2 purposes, contestants were aware of this exam’s significance and taking this exam carefully and seriously. All contestants as high school students abided by competition regulations, and there were no violations.

Contestants were more excited and confident, due to e attention of teachers, families and the whole society. High schools sent teachers to testing location to encourage contestants before and after each tests. Mr. Le Nhat Nam, Deputy Director of Department of Education – Training, said one special thing in Binh Duong province is the mobilization of many social forces to take care of contestants, for example, district People’s Committees, parents representative boards, study promotion funds, businesses, religious organizations...

In particular, contestants received the attention from the whole society. Phu Giao district People’s Committee disbursed VND216 million to support 216 poor students in taking the exam. Thuong Tan high school (North Tan Uyen), priests of churches provided 2 meals per day and buses to testing locations for contestants…

In addition, young volunteers also performed activities assisting contestants during exam days. On the registration day, young volunteers from universities, colleges and Youth Union branches in the province came very early to instruct candidates to find locations and exam room. Nguyen Thanh Lam, students of Binh Duong University, said young volunteers also helped parents to find good places to eat, lodging, repair vehicles… during exam days. Youth Union branches at universities, towns, city and provincial Youth Union encouraged benefactors to donate meals to contestants.

Immediately after the exam, on Jul 5, the exam board will carry out marking works. Department of Education – Training will join hands with University of Economics – Law to mark exam papers. The marking phase will be finished on Jul 20.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Rector of University of Economics – Law, assessed the exam was successful, thanks to the joint effort from staff, faculty, students. Issues reported to the province were solved timely. Training for staff was deployed synchronously, thus there were no violations.
