The "All people protect national security" movement to spread and promote its strength

From beginning of this year, the people have provided functional forces with 1,718 reports, including more than 1,300 valuable news, helped to detect 722 criminal cases and arrested nearly 1,500 violators. According to assessment, at present, the movement of people taking part in national security protection is spreading and promoting its strengths.

Timely reward and encouragement

The movement of national security protection is increasingly developing, because provincial Police leadership always pay attention to timely reward and encouragement. Specifically, in the midst of Covid-19, leaders of provincial Police as well as professional departments were present timely to encourage and reward people and grassroots forces as they made unexpected achievements.

Municipal and Provincial Police reward certificates of merit and encouraged grassroots forces that made achievements in crime prevention.

From beginning of this year, the Provincial Police has proposed the Ministry of Public Security award certificates of merit to 9 collectives; Provincial People's Committee presented 6 flags and certificates of merit to 54 collectives and 80 individuals; Provincial Fatherland Front delivered certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 10 individuals; Provincial Police's Director presented certificates of merit to 67 collectives and 115 individuals with a total reward budget of more than 750 million VND. In addition, the Director of Provincial Police Department also unexpectedly rewarded 2 collectives and 108 individuals making outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people to protect national security, with a total budget of more than 50 million VND.

Colonel Huynh Van Sang said that when the commendation and encouragement received much attention, the movement would thrive, create a solid position in the criminal attack. Therefore, Provincial Police's leaders always pay attention to this work and promptly give unexpected rewards.

The Provincial Police also provided financial support and organized visits, gave gifts to 2 individuals who were injured or died as pursuing criminals; posthumously awarded certificates of merit and financial support to the family of Nguyen Tan Loc, a member of protection group of Quarter 8, Dinh Hoa ward, Thu Dau Mot city, who died due to infection with SAR-CoV-2 virus while performing the duty of prevention and control the Covid-19...

In addition to commendation, the Provincial Police also directed municipal police forces to evaluate the effectiveness of existing models to have appropriate development directions in the coming time. In Thu Dau Mot City, through a preliminary summary of "peaceful religious village" in Chanh My ward, the municipal Police rewarded 3 collectives and 13 individuals.

To continue mobilizing power from the whole people

Since the beginning of this year, due to the impact of the Covid-19, production and business activities have been affected. Job loss and people's lives face many difficulties, thereby posing many problems to the work of political security and social order safety protection.

Therefore, the Provincial Police issued a document to direct the dissemination, mobilize the masses to participate in security and order protection during the implementation of social distancing in the province; proactively grasp the situation, coordinate in propagating and mobilizing workers not to spontaneously return to their hometown. Relevant agencies have designed and printed 65,000 leaflets with the content "The whole people beware of criminals taking advantage of the Covid-19 to commit fraud"; printed 30,000 leaflets "People do not voluntarily return to their hometown" and distributed to police of districts, towns and cities to deliver to commune-level police stations to serve the propagation work; informed and disseminated methods and tricks of various crimes and social evils with 1,600 participants; distributed 1,800 leaflets propagating about methods and tricks of criminals. The Police continued to inform through the application of information technology (Facebook, Zalo,...) from the province to the grassroots; posted information of wanted lists on web portals, social networks (Facebook, Zalo). Currently, there are about 15 Zalo groups connecting the movement building forces and the core forces at the grassroots.

According to the report, up to now, the province has 31 effective models. Good models continue to be developed, maintained, renewed and consolidated in the direction of "Self-defense, self-management, self-protection, self-reconciliation", thereby promoting their effectiveness. Notably, the project "Socialization of surveillance system" for the period 2020-2025 has received the active response of people and businesses. Over nine months of 2021, the number of cameras donated and installed under the project was 1,511 cameras with a total cost of VND 6,241 billion. In addition, the Police encouraged people to install 1,772 cameras. These models have helped clarify many law violations and are appreciated by the people.
