The Appeal of exhibitions

In recent days, a variety of exhibitions held across Binh Duong have attracted a large number of visitors.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Thu Dau Mot province, the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and in celebration of the 135th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025), Binh Duong has organized numerous displays at provincial Convention and Exhibition Center. Notably, provincial museum has held three exhibitions, namely “Vietnam – Aspiration for Peace and National Reunification”, “Binh Duong – From a Land of Fire to a Vision of Prosperity” and “Uncle Ho – The Source of Our Faith and Victory”.

According to provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, exhibitions hosted by provincial museum feature 212 photographs and 53 artifacts, including a collection of handmade weapons produced by Ben Cat arsenal and memorabilia from the resistance war against American imperialists.

Contributing to this cultural ambiance, provincial Literature and Arts Association organized an exhibition titled “50 Years of Literary and Artistic Development in Binh Duong since National Reunification”, showcasing over 130 works of art and photography along with hundreds of published materials. Sculptor Ngo Phuoc Chanh, Vice President of provincial Literature and Arts Association shared: “This is an opportunity to reflect on 50 years of literary and artistic endeavors in our province. Each painting, photograph and publication on display embodies the passion of generations of Binh Duong artists, who strive to preserve and promote national identity in the era of integration”.

Another highlight is the thematic exhibition “President Ho Chi Minh – Life and Revolutionary Career” organized by Di An city’s Culture, Information and Sports Center, featuring over 20 display panels. This exhibition attracted more than 6,300 students and teachers. “Each photo, each document tells a story. Through this exhibition, students don’t just learn history, but they also learn how to live, to love, to share and to become more responsible”, said teacher Nguyen Thanh Tuan of Di An C Primary School.

According to Truong Thi Huy, a specialist at Di An city’s Culture, Information and Sports Center, this exhibition carries deep values. "The images and materials were carefully selected to be relatable to the younger generation. The goal is for viewers, especially students, not just to observe, but to truly feel, understandand follow the moral values that President Ho Chi Minh left behind.

Adding to the cultural festivities during these national holidays, Thu Dau Mot city’s Culture, Information and Sports Center hosted a traditional cultural and historical exhibition at the city's Traditional House under the theme “Imprints of the Thu Dau Mot Land”. This exhibition introduced residents and visitors to historical and cultural documents, materials and images that offer an overview of Vietnam’s cultural evolution across different eras, with a special focus on the history and people of Thu Dau Mot.

A unique feature of the exhibition was the display of traditional handicraft village products such as ceramics, lacquerware, woodcarving, wooden clogs and traditional cakes. “This activity not only promotes the image of a dynamic, modern Thu Dau Mot, but also shows the city’s deep respect for its distinctive cultural heritage. This cultural foundation is vital to our journey towards sustainable development”, shared Trinh Ngoc Phuong, Deputy Director of Thu Dau Mot city’s Culture, Information and Sports Center.

These exhibitions are not only repositories of historical memory, but also become valuable cultural and educational destinations in Binh Duong, where the past meets the present to inspire the future. In today's development journey, these historical slices and enduring cultural values  are the fire that preserves identity, fueling faith and aspiration for an integrated - steadfast - and courageous Binh Duong.

As part of the activities marking the 50th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), a photography exhibition titled “In the Realm of Memories” by photographer Huynh My Thuan was held at the Ceramic Garden in Thuan An city’s Lai Thieu ward, organized by Ho Chi Minh city’s Photography Artist  Association. The exhibition features 10 photo reports and 45 single photographs that depict the land and people of the southern region, especially Lai Thieu and Binh Duong. Among them, there are many images capturing nostalgic moments of old Lai Thieu such as the ceramic wharf, Phu Long iron bridge...Through the exhibition, photographer Huynh My Thuan wants to express the author's love for Lai Thieu, the land he considers his second homeland, so that the public can admire, reminisce and love the cultural beauty of Binh Duong through a photographic perspective, thereby contributing to the development of the local tourism.
