Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao, permanent Deputy Secretary of Binh Duong provincial Party Committee awards merit certificates of the provincial People’s Committee to individuals of excellent achievements of Covid-19 prevention and control in education and training sector
Irrespective of hardship and danger
Since mid-July, the situation of Covid-19 epidemic in the province has been complicated. In response to the requirement of human resources to support epidemic prevention and control in districts, towns and cities, the Department of Education and Training has launched and mobilized teachers, students, and trainees to participate. In the next steps, the Department of Education and Training also established a squad to participate in the department's Covid-19 prevention and control. Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of the Department of Education and Training, acknowledged that the summer of 2021 for the collective of officials, teachers, staff, and students in the education and training sector has become a volunteer season with the spirit of mutual affection, love and sharing and responsibility for the community.
During the days of struggling against the epidemic in Binh Duong, the volunteer squads of the education and training sector participated in tasks of aking samples for rapid tests, supporting quarantine areas and field hospitals, directing checkpoints, supporting vaccination for people, supporting means of transportation and providing necessities, food, cooking for the quarantine area, supporting the local implementation of social security policies, and participating in data entry, statistics, call center of hot line 1022 etc.
Teachers, who are only used to white chalk and blackboard, during the epidemic, have become soldiers rushing to the front lines against the epidemic. In the 4th battle against the Covid-19 epidemic, the whole province has more than 7,000 officials and teachers participating at the fronts. Pictures of teachers wearing rain and sunshine, sacrificing personal happiness, entrusting a small family to relatives or transporting and carrying food into the epidemic center has touched many people and beautified the image of a teacher.
Silent sacrifices praised
These simple examples have become the source of emotions to form good works in the writing contest about "Bright examples in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic" launched by the education and training sector. Ms. Le Ngoc Chau Mai, a teacher at Le Thi Trung Secondary School in Tan Uyen town said: “We are only trained in pedagogy and we have absolutely no professional skills like the medical staffs, so maybe when accepting the task is also somewhat bewildered. However, many teachers have overcome their anxiety to fulfill their responsibilities to the community and well perform their roles and missions."
Mr. Tran Anh Dung, Deputy Head of Education and Training Division of Tan Uyen town said: “I appreciate the sacrifices made by the teachers for the common good and for the community. The teachers themselves are trained to be with teaching, but according to the call, they temporarily left their families to bravely enter the epidemic center. Instead of wearing long dresses and shirts, the teachers put on the protective suits. I was even more impressed when I heard about their volunteer.”
Experiencing a fierce battle against the pandemic in the midst of peace, once again, the honor for the team of administrators and teachers this time is a worthy spiritual reward. Their members continue to carry out their sacred mission - the mission of education.
