The festival of the whole people unity to foster community connection and development

As part of the activities celebrating 85-year establishment of the National Front for the Unified People of Vietnam (November 18, 1930 to November 18, 2015) and 55-years establishment of the National Front for Liberation of Southern Vietnam (December 20, 1960 to December 20, 2015), many communes and hamlets in the province has recently organized festivals of people unity with lively atmosphere. The activities drew up the participation of numerous citizens, community unity for local development.

Being at Hamlet 3 of Tan Hiep Commune in Phu Giao District in the morning of November 14 at the festival of "national people unity", we can see the bustling, cheerful, and excited atmosphere. Very early in the morning, local people in the province gathered and waited until the time of the festival opening. For this year, people in hamlet 3 were very excited and honored for the presence of Tran Van Nam, the Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Chair of Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of districts and communes at the festival. In the meantime, at this festival, Hamlet 3 was recognized as cultural hamlet as the overall achievements of all officials and people in the province who have joined hands to build up the hamlet through a long time.

Nguyen Minh Giang, the Secretary of  Hamlet 3 Party Cell, informed that local people were delight at cultural hamlet recognition. The achievements that the hamlet has achieved in 20 years were the results of unity and the people consensus of the people under the leadership of the Party. Local people have been actively incubating intellectual contributions, manpower and funds to embellish the hamlet roads and alleys to be spacious and clean. Political security, social order and safety have been guaranteed. Upholding such tradition, local people will continue incubating solidarity and determination, along with observation of all the policies of the Party and State laws, energetically striving to successfully implementation of the socio-economic development tasks in 2016.

At the festival, participants and local people recited Hamlet 3 glorious tradition established in over 85 years of the National Front for the Unified People of Vietnam and affirmed the important role of the Front throughout the development of Vietnamese revolutionary history. In 20-year implementation of the campaign of "All the people unite to build cultural life in residential areas" associated with building new countryside, movements and activities were positively and actively implemented in Hamlet 3 to strengthen solidarity between governments, the mass organizations and the people; the villager chemistry has been improved to closer tie; democracy at the grassroots level has been promoted, contributing to the strengthening of social consensus and helping material and spiritual life of the people improve gradually. In 20 years, the hamlet has 10 times won the title of cultural hamlet. In 2015, 200 out of 207 families were entitled cultural families while the poverty rate sharply decreased to only 3 families by now.

Speaking at the festival, Tran Van Nam, the secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Chair of Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the results that cadres and people of Hamlet 3 have achieved. Simultaneously, Mr. Tran Van Nam emphasized that in the future, local Party committee, authority and the people of Hamlet 3 should continue to promote the dissemination of guidelines and policies of the Party and State's laws to the people; propaganda and mobilization of the people to participate in the planning of local socio-economic development will be established. Local authority and committees should focus on mobilizing people to implement civilized lifestyle and to eliminate social evils to maintain the title of cultural hamlet and to advance cultural family rate; focus on promoting the movement of national defense and security and maintaining political security, social order and safety in the province will be made. Mr. Tran Van Nam believed that by solidarity and attachment of officials and the people, the future socio-economic situation of the hamlet will be increasingly growing and the national unity will be consolidated.

On this occasion, People's Committee and Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee praised local cultural families of 3-year title. On behalf of provincial leadership, Tran Van Nam, the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, donated 10 gifts at VND 1 million each by Fund for the Poor to 10 families of difficulties in the locality. Tan Hiep Commune People’s Committee also donated 30 gifts to families of difficulties while promoting emulation movements in 2016.

Together with localities in the province, on November 14, An Phu Commune and An Son Commune in Thuan An Town also held the festival of people unity and sum up 20 years of the movement for poverty eradication. In 20 years, poverty eradication in An Phu Hamlet has been succeeded with only 3 remaining poor families from 192 ones. Twenty two charity houses have been donated with 12 small and large roads opened covering 5,300 meters.

After the festivals in locality, unity has been upheld to create trust and confidence in local achievements and trust in leadership of the Party and the State.
