The first day of the university entrance exam 2013 in Binh Duong happens safely and seriously

Yesterday July 4th, over 600,000 candidates of the whole nation and nearly 5,500 candidates applying for provincial Thu Dau Mot University (TDMU), Binh Duong University (BDU) and Binh Duong Economics – Technology University (BDETU), has went through safely, smoothly the first day of stage I, regular training universities, colleges’ entrance exam 2013. On this morning July 5th, candidates continue to take Chemistry or English test of group A or A1 with 90 minutes of exam time.  Contestants took the first test at TDMUIt was just 5.30 AM, but most of candidates had presented at Examination Councils (EC). Nguyen Thi Ngoc, a contestant from Bu Dang, Binh Phuoc province, said: “I arrived in Binh Duong since June 29th and have stayed with my aunt at Di An town. This morning, my cousin took me to university since 4.30 AM and arrived at 5.30 AM. We started early to avoid traffic jam or incidents”. Youth, student forces of the 3 provincial universities direct traffic lanes, guide contestants to exam rooms, arrange parking, protect security order outside exam places. Mr. Truong Van Them, father of contestant Truong Thi Anh Ngoc, was so happy, when his daughter had done well her tests. He said, they started from Daklak since July 1st, and then were guided to nearby cheap lodging for convenient moving around by volunteer students of TDMU. Reportedly, the first exam day happened safely, seriously and legitimately. On July 4th, candidates took Mathematic test with 180 minutes on the morning and Physics test with 90 minutes in the afternoon. There were nearly 5,000 contestants, namely, 4,034 ones of TDMU, accounting for 88.46%; 239 or 72.9% of BDETU and 334 or 74.8% of BDU.The weather of the first exam day was mild, suitable for examinations. Traffic was also in favorable conditions, there was no traffic congestion. Most of contestants arrived punctually. Electricity and water were supplied stably and regularly.According many candidates, Mathematics and Physics tests were relative close to high school education and had high classification. Many ones finished about 50% of Mathematic test, a few did 65%. Due to difficult questions, many candidates left exam rooms after 2/3 of time. In the afternoon, Physics test seemed to be easier, but some thought that it was still so difficult and just finished 60-70% of the test.Although there were thousands of contestants and parents gathered at TDM City, traffic was still smooth, security order was guaranteed. Volunteer youth and traffic police have kept watching all the time. However, at EC of TDMU, BDETU, Hung Vuong Gifted high school… there were many leaflets delivered to parents, contestants causing urban unhygienic.This year’s examination inspection has been focused by Ministry delegations and Education-Training Department. According to evaluations of delegations, ECs organized well the exam. The Ministry urged strengthening exam invigilation, no mobile phones in exam rooms. Nevertheless, there was still one contestant violated no mobile phone regulation at TDMU.  220 free lunches for contestantsAfter taking Mathematic test, contestants at TDMU received 220 free lunches and water sponsored by Thanh Le Company and Tan Hiep Phat Company to encourage poor students.
