During the meeting, Katherine Lam highly appreciated the dynamic development of Binh Duong province and expressed her desire for the provincial leadership to continue creating the best conditions for American businesses in general, and Oregon businesses in particular, to invest in the province. This will contribute to further strengthening the solidarity and friendship between the two countries' peoples.
At the meeting, Nguyen Loc Ha stated that Binh Duong currently has 4,191 foreign-invested projects from 65 countries and territories, with a total registered capital of over 40.2 billion US dollars. Binh Duong ranks second in the country in terms of attracting foreign investment after Ho Chi Minh city. The United States currently ranks 10th among the countries and territories with investment projects in Binh Duong, with 135 projects and a total capital of 1.36 billion US dollars.
Nguyen Loc Ha affirmed that Binh Duong always prioritizes investment in high-tech industries and sectors that are environmentally friendly, have low labor intensity, and create high added value. These include financial services, logistics, supporting industries, high-tech agriculture, and especially attracting investment in science and technology industrial parks based on the foundation of 4th Industrial Revolution. Therefore, Nguyen Loc Ha hopes that the delegation from the government of Oregon will continue to promote and advertise to American businesses to invest in Binh Duong.
