Green becomes lungs of the industrial parks

Developing green trees in industrial parks is a practical and effective solution to protect the environment. According to the provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, in addition to investing in infrastructure, investors have paid attention to planting green trees. Among them, Becamex IDC is a pioneer, who, in the year of 2022-2023, has planted over 210,000 different types of green trees on roads in industrial parks and urban areas.

In addition, investors in industrial parks are actively investing in green tree planting to contribute to the creation of "green lungs" in the heart of industrial parks, realizing the goal of sustainable development. A typical example is Hung Thinh Trading - Production - Construction Joint Stock Company planting and caring for green trees in Dong An 1 and Dong An 2 industrial parks. The company has a team specializing in caring for and protecting green trees, regularly inspecting to prune branches, cut branches to prevent rain and wind to ensure safety for workers and aesthetics of the sites.

Mr. Le Hoai Nam, General Director of KSB Company Limited (Dat Cuoc commune, Bac Tan Uyen district), said that the main arterial roads and internal roads of the KSB industrial zone are all paved with hot asphalt, providing convenient conditions for the transportation of goods. The green tree system is invested in the internal traffic routes, outside the industrial zone fence, around the workshops etc. to minimize environmental pollution, reduce noise, and create a green, clean, and beautiful landscape. In addition, businesses in industrial parks ensure a 20% greenery ratio on the production land area.

According to Mr. Ho Thanh Truc, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, every year the province organizes the launching ceremony of "Planting Trees Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho" and plants scattered green trees to promote and educate all levels, sectors, and people about the role and impact of green trees and forests in protecting the ecological environment, reducing natural disasters, adapting to climate change, and improving the living environment for the people, at the same time, contributing to building a civilized, modern, and environmentally friendly Binh Duong.

Every person a green tree

Under the bright sun, the rural roads in Dinh Hiep commune, Dau Tieng district become cool with rows of green trees casting shade, flowers showing off their colors on both sides of the road creating a beautiful and peaceful scenery. According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dinh Hiep commune, in the past time, all 6 hamlets in the commune have planted flowers and green trees along the roads to create a green, clean and beautiful environment. During the green planting campaign in 2024, the entire commune will plant flowers along 12 roads with a total length of nearly 7,000m, of which 180 yellow bell flowers and 44 roses are called for socialization.

Mrs. Pham Thi Hien, a resident of Hiep Tho hamlet, has self-propagated and supported rose plants, said: "Participating in planting green trees brings me the joy of sharing, of joining hands with the community to beautify the living environment. That joy is multiplied when seeing the young plants that I have supported, planted, sprout and bring a cool green color to our homeland."

In Thu Dau Mot city, according to the plan for 2024, more than 2,340 scattered trees will be planted. The trees will be allocated and planted at the new headquarters of the City Police, the City Military Command, and the wards along with schools in the area. In addition, the city's mass organizations and associations will coordinate the planting of green trees on public land. The city also focuses on promoting the participation of residents in planting and caring for green trees with the slogan of "Each resident plants at least one green tree".

Mr. Nguyen Van Dong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thu Dau Mot city, said: "The city builds diverse and rich forms of propaganda, especially on social media platforms, to reach every target audience about the purpose and significance of planting trees, while guiding residents on different types of trees to plant. The city sets specific targets for planting trees based on the population density of each locality, and localities carry out tree planting on public land within their jurisdiction."

Not only in Thu Dau Mot City, but also in other districts and cities in the province, there is a vibrant program called "Each citizen plants at least one tree". The communes, wards, and towns actively promote and encourage people to participate in planting trees at home, offices, neighborhoods, roads, parks, schools etc. to help people understand the importance of green trees for the environment and life. Instead of bare, dusty roads, now many routes in local areas have been covered with greenery by rows of shady trees. Each urban area, residential area also bursts with vitality with green patches nurtured by the hands of the people.
