The pair of clay dragons in Tuong Binh Hiep granted copyright certification

On August 30, the People's Committee of Tuong Binh Hiep Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, informed that "The largest pair of dragon assembled from hand-fired clay pots and jugs in Vietnam" (commonly known as "Tuong Binh Hiep clay dragon pair") has been granted a copyright registration certificate by the Copyright Office - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Accordingly, the certificate was granted to the work "The largest pair of dragon assembled from hand-fired clay pots and jugs in Vietnam"; author Nguyen Minh Thuan, Ward 8, Tuong Binh Hiep Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province; the owner of the work is the People's Committee of Tuong Binh Hiep Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province.

Truong Thi Kieu Chinh, Vice Chairwoman of Tuong Binh Hiep Ward People's Committee, said that in order to protect this creativity, as well as the work of artisans, who spent a lot of effort, time, and brainpower to create this unique work. This will be a local exclusive work, and we do not want it to be copied, so we registered copyright for this work. Copyright registration also contributes to protecting the image, uniqueness and promoting the image of the local craft village and pottery to many people.

Previously, this work of art was also recognized as a record by the Vietnam Record Organization. This is a work created by artisans from Tuong Binh Hiep craft village from 14,000 hand-fired clay pots and jugs, 29m long. Two dragons are placed on both sides of Ba Sang bridge on Ho Van Cong street.
