The province strives to complete the target of 100% people eligible for the third shot in February 2022

On January 10, at the Provincial Administration Center, the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention Control held an video conference with provincial districts, towns and cities on disease prevention control. Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

According to a report of provincial Department of Health, during 7 days from Jan 3 to 9, the province recorded 525 new infection cases through RT-PCR testing, down 30.7% compared to the previous week. On average, the province records 75 cases per day, 2,168 cases recovered, discharged from hospital, and completing isolation. During the week, 119 F0 cases of were detected in the community, an average of 17 cases/day, down 24.7% compared to the previous week. Regarding treatment, the province implements stratification according to a three-tired model to reduce the load on provincial medical treatment facilities, and at the same time coordinates F0s between the three tiers. The province currently has 18 zones and facilities to treat Covid-19 patients with 4,506 beds. In the coming time, Department of Health will implement safe and flexible adaptation measures to effectively control the disease; prepare a plan for monitoring and prevention of Covid-19 variant Omicron according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health; speed up the mass vaccination campaign of 100,000 doses/day to complete the goal of 100% people eligible for the third dose in February 2022.
