The rate of students joining health insurance in the province reaches 99.45%

On August 18, Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize health insurance for students in the school year 2022-2023 and put forward tasks for the new school year 2023-2024.

In the school year 2022-2023, the province had 311 schools, an increase of 4 schools compared to the previous school year; 421,228/423,549 students participated in health insurance, reaching the rate of 99.45%, an increase of 0.85% compared to the previous school year. Two localities with 100% of students joining health insurance, are Tan Uyen City and Dau Tieng district... At the conference, representatives of schools posed difficulties and problems that cause the rate of students joining health insurance not reach 100%. In order for the rate of students participating in health insurance to reach 100% in the new school year, the Provincial Social Insurance continues to collaborate with Department of Education and Training and Department of Health to guide educational institutions in effective management and use of health insurance’s financial source for school healthcare, including primary health care funding allocated by Health Insurance Fund, ensuring that all students receive primary health care right at school. Periodically, the Provincial Social Insurance cooperates with Department of Education and Training to directly go to schools, where the percentage of students participating in health insurance has not reached 100%, to work with the school's Board of Directors to propose solutions and promptly remove difficulties at schools...
