The sophisticated library on an islet

In the face of the more and more appearance of modern technologies in rapid manners and maximum support for users, reading is still a cultural features that needs to be preserved. To build a reading culture and spread knowledge and passion for books to everyone in the homeland, journalist Mai Song Be built a private library on Thanh Hoi islet in Thanh Hoi commune of Tan Uyen city.

For many people, retirement only means a diverted ways to take care of their own seniority. Some people choose to take care of their grandchildren to ease the burden on their children. At Thanh Hoi Island (also known by its folk name as Turtle Island), there lives a retired journalist - Mai Song Be, former Director of Dong Nai Radio and Television Station who built a private library serving the community for free as a gift to his homeland. The private library is called Cu Lao Rua Library, which after 5 years of establishment, has about 10,000 books contributed by friends, contacts, and establishments with sources of books and newspapers everywhere.

Coming to Cu Lao Rua Library, readers will have the opportunity to experience a unique cultural space where books are arranged throughout the entire lower floor of a quite spacious house. The books are very rich and diverse including books of knowledge, literature, research, literature and art, and for children. There are many books and newspapers bound for collection in addition to books praising reading culture by popular authors.
