The X- Factor iteration comes to Vietnam

The preliminary round of the Vietnamese iteration of “The X-Factor” television music competition will be held throughout October and November. It is scheduled to begin in Danang City on October 29-30, then travel to Hanoi on November 2-3, and finish in Ho Chi Minh City on November 29-30. The competition aims to find new singing talent from male and female singles aged 16-25, duos aged 25 and over, and groups aged above 16. Five rounds will be held: audition (live and online), theatre admission, stage qualifying round, qualifying round in the judge’s house and live performance. The judging panel will be announced in the near future. Vietnam’s “The X-Factor” will be broadcast at 9pm every Sunday on VTV3 channel from March 30, 2014. The X-Factor is a British television music competition to find new singing talent, contested by aspiring singers drawn from public auditions. It has now been popularised in over 40 countries worldwide The competition became the most polular reality television show in the USA in 2012. In the UK, it set a record with 200,000 people registering to take part in the show and 19.7 million home viewers, accounting for 63.2% of total television viewers. It has so far uncovered many famous contemporary international music stars such as Leona Lewis, One Direction and Alexandra Burke. VOV
