Thien Hau Pagoda Festival: To be safe and civilized

It is expected that visitors to Thien Hau Pagoda Festival 2012 will surge up, requiring organizer to allocate inter-units to ensure a safe and civilized festival.

Hoa people in Binh Duong Province are in 4 sub-groups of Guangdong, Chaozhou, Fujian, and Hakka with more or less 10,000 people working in all business lines, especially in pottery, jewellry, and arts. They lead simple, joyful, tolerable, and integrating life where ever they are.

In spiritual life, they share common worship of Vietnamese people in families but also organize major festival in pagodas such as Thien Hau, Tho Long Moc Linh Khong Dan (in Phu Cuong Ward), That phu Dai nhan in God Bon Pagoda, Ha My Tong Duong, Bich Lien temple (in Chanh Nghia Ward). Of the mentioned festival, Hoa people in Binh Duong Province also uphold two traditional festival of Thien Hau Pagoda and God Bon Pagoda. The Thien Hau Pagoda Festival on the 15th of Lunar January every year has become a bond of communities in Binh Duong Province and visitors from other localities.

Other localities such as Bung Cau, Lai Thieu, and Dau Tieng District, Hoa people’s festivals are also held. Recently, 40 teams of dragon, lion, and unicorn dancers have participated into Thien Hau Pagoda Festival in Dau Tieng District.

Reacting to current Thien Hau Pagoda Festival in Binh Duong Province, all forces and units were directed by local authorities to maintain public security, food safety and hygiene and protection of visitors against price faking and deceitful superstition.

People are expecting for a jubilant and safe festival which bring happiness and good luck to everyone.
