17-year old tennis player Nguyen Hoang Thien will participate in the Roland Garros Junior French Championships in Paris from May 31-June 10. 

 The world No. 107 in the junior rankings is now training under the instruction of two famous French coaches, namely Eysseric and Landra.

This is the second Grand Slam that Thien will attend, after the Australian Open. He is also the first Vietnamese player to play in a Grand Slam event.

Before the Roland Garros, Thien will take part in the 33 International Spring Bowl Amstetten from May 13-19 and the 53 Trofeo Bonfiglio from May 19-25.

He is the key player, who helped Vietnamese team win the relegation play-off at Group 3 of Asia and Oceania of the Davis Cup, which was held in Iran on April 25-29.
