Third Binh Duong food festival: Tourism popularization and connectivity

The third Binh Duong food festival 2020 officially concluded with good impressions lelf on visitors and participating units after 3 days of taking place animatedly…All promise the next festival with interesting things.

Diverse food

According to the Organizing Board of the third Binh Duong food festival 2020, this year’s festival took place very animatedly, absorbing thousands of locals and tourists. Coming to the festival, they had a chance to enjoy special dishes of Binh Duong and many other localities.

With special dishes, the province’s cuisine booths, namely Becamex Hotel, Nha Em “banh xeo” (rice pancake folded in half), Khanh steamed glutinous rice, Huong Viet restaurant, Huong Xua ice cream, Din Ly Green Resort… were crowded with visitors. Along with luxurious dishes from restaurants, hotels, visitors had also a chance to enjoy popular dishes from “Y Xi quan” booth. Although having a small area, Tan Uyen town’s booth brought visitors good dishes and beverage from pomelo.

This year’s festival attracted 30 units with 42 booths and more than 100 special dishes. Apart from the local units, the festival also absorbed the participation of units from HCM city, Dong Nai and Tay Ninh, making it more attractive and plentiful.

Contributing to tourism development

The festival aimed to maintain and bolster new tourism products, creating a festive cultural space for locals and tourists. Hence, along with food booths crowded with visitors, the festival featured booths on the local traditional craft items, including simple pottery items from Gom Xua, nice and light rattan items from Thanh Loc, lacquere wares from Tuong Binh Hiep lacquer village, luring numerous visitors.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Board of the festival said that the third Binh Duong food festival 2020 made a strong pervasion among locals and tourists. Food safety and hygiene at the festival was ensured basically. The local functional agencies also well guaranteed order and security, contributing to the success of the festival as planned.

With the efforts by participating units, this year’s festival left good impressions on visitors. In addition to bringing the festival special dishes, participating units attached special importance to decorating their booths with impression and niceness.

Mr.Phong added that the annual festival aimed to honor cuisine of Vietnam in general and of Binh Duong in particular; step by step develop new tourism products, thereby promoting Binh Duong’s tourism image to locals and tourists. It is hoped that the festival will contribute to promoting the local tourism sector in the coming time.
