Third Southeast Region Journalism Award 2025 takes place

On the morning of March 28, at Binh Phuoc Provincial Political School, Vietnam Journalists Association in coordination with Binh Phuoc Provincial Journalists Association organized the 3rd Southeast Region Journalism Award 2025. Attending the award ceremony were Mr. Tran Trong Dung, Vice President of Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Organizing Committee; local leaders, representatives of departments and branches; representatives of Journalists Associations, leaders and authors from press agencies in the Southeast region.

This year, the Organizing Committee received nearly 200 entries in 4 types of journalism. After the preliminary round, 80 best works were selected for the final round. The Jury decided to award 22 prizes, including: 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes.

The first prize in the print-electronic newspaper category was awarded to "Dong Nai Pioneers in Building Green, Smart Factories," published by Dong Nai Newspaper. In the radio-television category, the top honor went to "Child Labor - From Law to Practice," produced by Ba Ria - Vung Tau Radio - Television Station.

Second prize in the radio and television category was awarded to the work “Protecting forests in the 4.0 era” (Binh Phuoc Radio and Television Station and Newspaper), reportage “Binh Thuan - 10 years of finding outlets for ash and cement” (Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station); second prize in the print and electronic newspaper category included two works “Southeast creates a launching pad to enter a new era” (group of authors from Vietnam News Agency Resident Office in  Southeast region) and the work “Students only need to go to school without paying tuition” (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper).

Third prize in the radio and television category, including: “The Power of the People’s Heart” (Binh Phuoc Radio - Television and Newspaper), documentary portrait “My Love and Pottery” (Binh Duong Radio - Television), “Keeping the Green on the Outpost Islands” (Tay Ninh Radio - Television); print and electronic newspaper genres include the following works: “Following the Be River” (Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper), “Sending trust in the “endoscopy” within the Party” (Tay Ninh Newspaper), “Gold in the fire” (Radio - Television and Binh Phuoc Newspaper)

Binh Duong Newspaper won an encouragement prize with its investigative report "Exposing an illegal gas filling line in Binh Duong".
