Thousands of businesses respond to the 2014 National Week on LSH-FEP

Thousands of businesses have organized many activities in response to the 2014 National Week on Labour Safety and Hygiene – Fire and Explosion Prevention (LSH – FEP) with the theme of “Think and act for the target of no labor accident, occupational disease, fire, or explosion in the workplace”.

Realizing that workforce is an important foundation for production and trading development, Primacy Vietnam Co.Ltd. specialized in making clothes for export has always attached special importance to innovating production lines, sufficiently providing laborers with modern labor protective equipment and well realized periodic healthcare.

In response to the 2014 National Week on LSH-FEP, the company has taken initiative in coordinating with provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department to organize a training program on fire prevention and fighting for workers. The company has also inspected power wires, power points, labor protective clothes…to ensure a safe working environment; set up a 25-member squad on fire fighting and prevention trained and granted a certificate of training by provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department.

In addition, the company has established a first-aid squad on site with 20 members regularly trained by My Phuoc General Hospital. Workers herein are also required to observe regulations on labor protection when working. If violating these relations more than three times, they will be punished in accordance with the Labor Law.

PungKook Saigon III Co. specialized in manufacture of various handbags for export has always attached special importance to raising workers’ awareness of LSH and FEP. Accordingly, the company carries out a theme on LSH and FEP every month. The company has also well realized commendation for each theme with the average bonus level of between VND500,000 and VND800,000. On average, there are three training courses for workers every year.

So far, nearly 1,000 company’s laborers have attended training courses on labor safety and hygiene. Hundreds of company’s laborers have also taken part in anti-fire exercises. Besides, the company has regularly participated in launching the annual National Week on LSH and FEP organized by the province.

In response to the 2014 National Week on LSH and FEP, the company will organize a training course on LSH and FEP among laborers; inspect its fire fighting and prevention; inform laborers about fire cases, labor accidents…For LSH and FEP well realized, the company has suggested the local functional agencies to jointly hold seminars introducing labor protective, fire fighting and prevention equipment to businesses for better equipment.

In response to the 2014 National Week on LSH and FEP, Thong Dung Footwear Co.Ltd. has organized an inspection on fire fighting and prevention skills among all staff; teamed up with provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department to make inspection and examination of fire and explosion prevention safety; given training to its fire fighting and prevention squad and organized anti-fire exercises…

The company has also attached special importance to innovating its production line, wastewater treatment system, labor protective equipment system in a bid to create a safe and comfortable working environment; regularly organized periodic healthcare for laborers…

In addition, the company’s Trade Union has made dissemination of information about the consequence of labor, fire and explosion accidents among laborers; asked for laborers to wear labor protection clothes; suggested the company’s directorate to replace old labor protective clothes by new ones; opened exits in anticipation of incidents…
