Three records recognized at first Vietnam Fruit Festival

On April 4, the organizing board of the first Vietnam Fruit Festival announced three national records made of fruits. They are:

 

The longest dragon in graffiti art-400 meters

 

With 28m long and 7m high, the 400-m fruit-made dragon is designed and created by 15 artisan for more than one month from March 19 to April 18. According to an artisan, the dragon scale is a costly part of the art work. It is made of 15,000 areca fruits cleaved in two, collected from Ben Tre, Soc Trang and Hue.

 

The largest Vietnam map made of fruits

 

The 6x4 map is made of 20 varieties of fruits representing each region of the country like Bac Giang litchi, Hung Yen longan, Da Lat strawberry, Hoa Loc mango, Lo Ren milk fruit, Tien Giang dragon fruit…After seeing the work art, many visitors spoke highly of its impressive and flexible arrange. Especially, Vietnam’s islands, namely Truong Sa, Hoang Sa, Phu Quoc, Con Dao are obviously shown on the largest map made of fruits.

 

The biggest Tu Linh (the four sacred creatures: dragon, unicorn, tortoise and phoenix) made of fruit

 

The set of fruit paintings of four supernatural creatures (dragon, tortoise, phoenix and unicorn) stands 4m by 10m. It is made by 10 artisans for nearly a week with around 10 tons of fruits used, including pomelo, dragon fruit, rambutan, mango... According to artisan Tran Van Lam in HCM City’s district 6, who is also a general director of the above three records, the total cost of the three records is nearly VND400mln.
