Thu Dau Mot City donates goods and necessities to people in need

On April 12, at Thu Dau Mot Park, Red Cross Society of Thu Dau Mot City held a session "Zero-Dong market" to donate goods and necessities to disadvantaged folks in the area.

Coming to the market, people could choose many essential items for their family at the price of "0 VND".

This was the fourth session of "Zero-Dong market" this year, organized by Thu Dau Mot Red Cross. From the source of goods and necessities donated by organizations and benefactors, the City Red Cross distributed 150 vouchers to poor households, disadvantaged families, and lonely elderly people. People use vouchers came to the market and chose 12 types of goods and necessities at the price of "0 dong". The value of each voucher was about 850,000 VND.

The market supported disadvantaged people, encouraged them to improve their lives, and at the same time showed the interest of Party committees, authorities, and city departments in taking care of people living in hardship…
