Thu Dau Mot City fulfills 84% target of voluntary blood donation

On May 16, Red Cross Society of Thu Dau Mot City cooperated with Blood Transfusion Center of Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) organized a voluntary blood donation day in the city.

For the purpose "Every drop of blood given - A life to stay", the activity attracted a large number of officials and people in the area coming to donate blood. After health screening, the organizers received 321 units of blood. This blood amount will be further screened and preserved by Cho Ray Hospital Blood Transfusion Center to serve the emergency and treatment of patients who need blood at medical facilities.

It is known that since the beginning of this year, the City Red Cross has coordinated to organize 5 rounds of voluntary blood donation. The result was 1,935/2,300 units of blood, reaching 84% of the assigned target in 2022.
