Thu Dau Mot City Youth’s League: Towards the community

Orienting to the community is one of the meaningful deeds of the Thu Dau Mot City Youth’s League so as to nurture love for the homeland. Youth League members in Thu Dau Mot City are repairing a charity house Hundreds of propaganda programs on moral examples of Ho Chi Minh President through movie shows of life time of Nguyen Ai Quoc and the model stories on anti-corruption and anti-wastefulness. By common practices of saving water, electricity, and paper, the city’s young generation has made up meaningful deeds, especially the model of preventing crimes in public places at night of the police Youth’s League. The volunteer movements for the community have varied from blood donation to free medication, and gifts to privileged families, and poor children, expressing the heart of the youths in a bid to build up better and civilized homeland. The volunteers of free tyre repair are ready on roads to help people the most humble things. So as to join up hands in helping children, gifts have been offered to children in disavantaged circumstances and activities have been held from them. The Youth League members are educated with national pride through contests of: national day of joy, young citizen of thousand-year legacy, forum of “forever twenties” which offer historical knowledge of nation making. The Youth League in grassroots has organized meaningful gratitude activities in 5 years, donating over VND 175 million to veterans and their children and families living in difficulties. Traditional education journeys and trips to vivid environments and sites have enable participants to feel more about their nation. Implementing youth’s constructions, the city Youth League has upgraded internet access stations for local youths. By effective activities, the league cadres have mobilised to donate 580 bycicles to school students at the cost of VND 969 million in Phu Giao, Dau Tieng, and Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc Province).
