Thu Dau Mot marks 47th anniversary of South Liberation, National Reunification Day and receives first-class class Labor Medal

On the afternoon of April 28, Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee solemnly held a get-together to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the South Liberation and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2022), the 132^nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2022), the 10^th founding anniversary of the city (May 2, 2012 - May 2, 2022) and receive the first-class Labor Medal.

The event was attended by heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Ruc; Nguyen Hoang Thao, Permanent Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee; Pham Van Chanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Thu Dau Mot city’s Party Committee.

At the event, delegates together reviewed the glorious historical tradition of the nation, the Party, government, army and people of Thu Dau Mot during the struggle for national independence. Upholding the heroic tradition, the Party, government, army and people of Thu Dau Mot city have always united, been dynamic, creative, taking advantage of favorable opportunities, trying to overcome difficulties and gain important achievements in all fields in order to be worthy of being the political, administrative, economic and cultural hub of the province. 10 years ago, on May 2, 2012, the Prime Minister signed a decision on the establishment of Thu Dau Mot city under Binh Duong province. Currently, Thu Dau Mot is the first-class city of the province with 14 administrative units. The city’s economy has been always maintained at high growth with the annual growth level of 27.92%...With achievements done, the city’s Party Committee was awarded the first-class Labor Medal from the State President.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Thao highly appreciated results done by Thu Dau Mot city over the past years. In the coming time, the city needs to accelerate Party building work, building up a pure and strong political system that is capable of leading the city for better development. The city also needs to take effective solutions for urban development towards smart and green growth; promote economic development under the structure of "services – industrial manufacture and urban agriculture"; well coordinate with provincial working groups to implement key traffic projects. In addition to economic development, it is necessary for the city to focus on ensuring national defense - security in parallel with strongly upholding the values of Vietnam’s culture and people as well as each individual’s creativity, gradually building up an orderly, disciplined, safe, healthy, democratic, fair and civilized society, ensuring people’s peaceful and happy life.

On this occasion, Chanh My ward’s Party Committee received the third-class Labor Medal from the State President. The city’s Women's Union was awarded the certificate of merit of the Prime Minister. Provincial Party Committee also presented the emulation flag to the city’s Party Committee while awarding the emulation flags to 2 collectives.
