Thuan An town’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC), on November 18, held a ceremony to mark the 83rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam Unified National Front (VUNF) (November 18, 1930-November 18, 2013), partially sum up the four-year implementation of the Politburo’s Conclusion No.62 on further improving the activities of Fatherland Front and other mass organizations in the 2010-2013 period and honor outstanding Fatherland Front officials.

Under the Politburo’s Conclusion No.62 and the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build up a cultural lifestyle in residential quarters”, FFCs at all levels of Thuan An town organized, maintained contests and opportunely honored outstanding cultural families. Over the past three years, Thuan An town under the campaign “For the Poor” mobilized more than VND3.6bln to the local fund for the poor; spent more than VND2bln on implementing support activities for the poor, including building 117 great unity houses with a total expense of more than VND4.5bln…The town’s FFC also coordinated with relevant units to organize 152 Vietnamese goods-promoting programs under the campaign of “Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods”; promoted the campaign of “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”…

On this occasion, Thuan An town’s FFC awarded the memento “For the National Great Unity Career”  to Vinh Phu ward’s FFC and honored 45 Fatherland Front officials.

*The same day, Di An town’s FFC also held a ceremony to mark the 83rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam National United Front and awarded the certificates of merit from the town’s People’s Committee to 10 collectives and 17 individuals for their active contributions to the local Fatherland Front task.
