Thuan An marks VBA’s 47th founding anniversary

Thuan An town’s Blind Association yesterday held a ceremony to mark the 47th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Blind Association (VBA) (April 17, 1969-April 17, 2016).

During the 32 past years, the town’s Blind Association absorbed nearly 120 members. The association took regular care of the lives of members, especially needy ones; opened 5 classes on making brooms for 24 members, generated jobs for around 8 members with the average income of VND1mln per capita per month…

It also teamed up with relevant agencies to set up 60 projects providing more than VND1.8bln in loan for 393 members to develop production-business models; mobilized organizations, individuals to build 56 houses of compassion for blind people with difficult circumstances…

On this occasion, the town’s Blind Association presented 50 gifts, including 10 kg of rice and VND200,000 each, to its members.
