According to a report by Thuan An city’s Steering Committee for Collective Economic Innovation and Development, in 2022, the city continued promoting propaganda, helping organizations, businesses and people understand and actively participate in cooperatives and cooperative groups.
In 2022, 2 new cooperatives were established, bringing the total number of the local cooperatives so far to 31 operating in the fields of traffic- environmental sanitation; services-agriculture; commerce - industry and 2 People's Credit Funds. The local cooperatives operated stably, with a total revenue of nearly VND 7,050 million, and paid over VND 90 million for the State budget. The city also maintained 47 cooperative groups and 1 linkage group with a total of 426 members. The local cooperative groups played an increasingly important role in the production and life of farmers, helping each other get loans, applying scientific and technological advancements into production and business, increasing incomes and improving the living standards of farmers, contributing to the local economic restructuring, poverty reduction and social welfare assurance.
