Thuan An’s Phu Dong sports festival concludes

Thuan An town’s Phu Dong sports festival for the 2019-2020 academic year has just concluded.

This year’s sports festival took place from October 7 to November 20 with the participation of 4,662 pupils from 37 schools across the town. For primary school pupils, they competed in 9 events: football, shuttlecock kicking, swimming, athletics, table tennis, chess, karatedo, vovinam and taekwondo. Whilst, 13 events: football, shuttlecock kicking, swimming, athletics, table tennis, chess, karatedo, vovinam, taekwondo, basketball, volleyball, badminton and tug-of-war were for secondary school pupils.

Finally, the organizers awarded prizes to the best units. The annual sports festival aimed to improve pupils’ health towards comprehensive development while sorting out outstanding pupils for training in order to attend the upcoming provincial Phu Dong sports festival..
