Thuong Tan is getting richer and richer in life

After 6 years of meeting the national standard for new rural construction, until now, Thuong Tan commune of Bac Tan Uyen district has raised the level of development by reaching the advanced rural standard. The streets of flowers are clean and airy, spacious houses sprang up and the people's quality of life is significantly improved.

After being recognized as a new rural commune in 2015, Thuong Tan does not stand still but is always under active, creative building to increasingly improve to move to an advanced rural village. In 2021, the commune has achieved all 19 criteria and 43 targets, which have been verified by the district and proposed to the province to consider and recognize Thuong Tan commune under the advanced rural development standards in 2021.

The first highlight in the breakthrough of this village is that the rural transport is invested and upgraded to meet the travel and transport needs of the people. Currently, the hamlets and alleys are asphalted and concreted up to the prescribed standards. In particular, 6 commune roads, inter-commune roads, hamlet roads with a total length of 7.9km are very convenient to connect. In which, the section passing through the concentrated residential area is 4.8km to ensure road surface drainage with 100% lighting system. The roads in the hamlet are planted with green trees as fences with flowers on both sides of the road to create a clean green landscape. It can be seen that in the construction of new rural areas, people benefit the most. Mr. Cao Hong Quan, who lives on Thuong Tan 25 Road of Hamlet 5, said: "In the past, this dirt road in the dry season was dusty and muddy in the rainy season. After being socialized, people donated land, and the State made the road clean and spacious. To make the environment bright, green, clean, and beautiful, people also plant flowers on both sides of the road. Currently, the traffic from the hamlet connects the communes and the communes with the district center, so people are very excited because it is convenient and easy to travel."

Not only focusing on roads, the commune is also interested in building a system of in-field canals to serve the production needs of the people. Every year, rural roads in the commune are surveyed in order to promptly detect damage for maintenance and repair. In 2021, the commune has completed a plan to upgrade and repair rural roads and in-field traffic in order to better serve the travel and transport needs of people in the area. With such motivation, people in the commune boldly changed the structure of crops and livestock, and developed the family economy to rise to get rich legitimately.

According to statistics in 2015, the per capita income of the commune was VND 37.7 million a year. It reached VND 65 million in 2020 and VND 70 million in 2021 - an increase of 1.85 times compared to 2015. Currently, the income of people in the commune is mainly from agricultural production, small business services and workers for companies in the area, the living standard of the people is relatively good. Currently, no poor households are in the commune; the percentage of households using clean water according to national standards is 100%.

Along with investing in the construction of rural infrastructure, the commune is also interested in improving the spiritual life of the people. The communal community, culture center, and the hamlet cultural house are regularly maintained to meet the needs of the community's activities and meetings. Every year, the commune People's Committee regularly organizes cultural, artistic and sports activities in the area so that people have conditions to exchange and entertain.

It can be said that from the consensus and joint efforts of the whole political system, especially the hearts of the people, today, Thuong Tan has changed to bring on a new vitality, a new look, and developed more and more comprehensively. Mr. Le Minh Dung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Tan commune, said: "The successful construction of a new rural area is of great significance in economic restructuring, agricultural and rural development. The comprehensive impact on all areas of people's life should require the focus and direction of the Party committees at all levels, the political system, especially the subject role of the people, unanimously, working together to gather people's hearts as the most important solution to mobilize all resources to build new rural areas."
