To add more strength to Vietnamese goods

In the context of the export market facing many difficulties, due to geopolitical and economic fluctuations in the world, the domestic market with a population of nearly 100 million people is considered a pedestal, helping domestic enterprises to consume goods.  If the demand is well stimulated, this will be an opportunity for Vietnamese goods to dominate the home market.

According to the General Statistics Office, the total retail sales of consumer goods and services nationwide in the first five months of 2023 increased by 12.6% over the same period in 2022. This is also the highest increase over the same period in years from 2015 back and up 28.3% compared to the first 5 months of 2019 (the time before the Covid-19 epidemic).

According to data at the meeting of Provincial People's Committee on June 21, over the first 6 months of 2023, some economic sectors of the province prospered. In which, the total retail sales of goods and services increased by 13% over the same period. This means that the domestic market has opened the door for domestic businesses to consume Vietnamese goods. Some enterprises in the wood, textile, footwear and leather industries have promptly shifted production to serve the domestic market. As a result, production and business activities can still be maintained after the export market has broken the supply chain.

In Binh Duong, the distribution system of consumer goods is now developed quite comprehensively with nearly 100 markets, 12 supermarkets, 5 trade centers and hundreds of convenience stores present in all localities in the province. This is a distribution channel that helps domestic enterprises access to display and introduce Vietnamese products. According to statistics, in the distribution system of the province, about 80% are products of domestic enterprises. That is a good sign that both helps consumers access and buy Vietnamese goods, and helps businesses stand firmly in difficult times, step by step rise to dominate the home market and export...

Besides developing distribution systems and supporting businesses, experts also need more tax exemption and reduction solutions to stimulate domestic market demand. Furthermore, businesses must improve product quality, increase promotion programs, and cut production costs to lower product costs. With the efforts of the whole political system, the campaign "Vietnamese people give priority to using Vietnamese goods" over the past time has been spreading and positively affecting social life. In order for Vietnamese goods to continue to spread and reach further places, it is necessary to join hands, energize and raise the level of Vietnamese goods of all levels, sectors, localities and consumers. Thereby, it not only helps the products of domestic enterprises stand firmly in the home field, but also serves as a springboard for Vietnamese goods to reach out to the world market.
