According to the leader of Department of Education and Training, while performing tasks at the frontline, officials and teachers of the education branch are not afraid of hardships and dangers. There were 178 teachers were exposed to Covid-19 and 5 died from the disease while on duty. However, with a high sense of responsibility towards the community, many teachers, after recovering from the disease, asked to stay in treatment areas to assist the care and treatment of F0s and continue to be on the front lines for anti-pandemic work.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Hoang Thao acknowledged and praised the spirit of the education branch as well as contributions and losses of officials and teachers in the pandemic fighting. Education branch has mobilized social sources to teach safely through a program "Computers for children". The loss and sacrifice of five teachers and all those who sacrificed to protect the health and lives of others in the fight against the disease is something that everyone will always remember and be grateful for.

Thao also wished that, in the coming time, education branch would try harder to deserve the sacrifices and losses in the fight against the Covid-19. In particular, students need to be educated and trained to become not only excel in their studies, but also have good personality to be a good citizen of the country in general and citizens of Binh Duong in particular; the education branch always show dedication, patriotism...

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also warned that the pandemic has affected the psychology of students. Therefore, in parallel with the online teaching process, the branch needs to explain the "new normal" state to students so that students  are ready to return to school to complete goals of school year 2021-2022.

To promote youth's strength in fighting the pandemic

At the Provincial Youth Union, Tran Bao Lam, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, informed that youth of the province had carried out many practical meaningful disease prevention and control activities such as: Project " ATM oxygen” provided 1,200 oxygen cylinders for Covid-19 treatment areas; gave 12,800 medicine bags to F0s for treatment; model "ATM - F0" encouraged 120 F0s cured and recovered to participate in assisting frontline forces.

In addition, Provincial Youth Union mobilized goods and necessities worth about 60 billion VND; District, town and city levels mobilized about VND 50 billion to help people facing difficulties due to the Covid-19. Besides, Youth Union at all levels in the province gathered 15,600 volunteers to join quick response teams; 14 teams were established and have played important role in the disease prevention and control, such as: 4,037 teams to take samples for testing, 1,628 teams to input data, 978 teams to assist isolation and treatment areas, 4,569 logistics support teams…

Nguyen Hoang Thao praised and acknowledged the contributions of provincial youth unions in disease prevention and control. With a pioneering spirit and being not afraid of dangers and hardships, young volunteers and frontline forces successfully completed the assigned tasks. The Deputy Party Secretary also expressed his impression of 14 squads of Provincial Youth Union, especially some important formations that are decisive to the results of Covid-19 fighting, such as: Taking samples for testing, vaccination, be on duty at checkpoints, serve treatment areas, quarantine areas...

Thao especially appreciated the above-mentioned approach of Binh Duong youth forces; he emphasized that going through this pandemic time has helped the youth have the opportunity to come constantly into contact with reality. With the experience gained, young people will continue to be one of the key forces in the province's disease prevention and control in the "new normal" state.

Nguyen Hoang Thao emphasized, the large number of volunteers participating in most fields shows the comprehensiveness and pioneering spirit, commitment of the youth in the province. In the coming time, young people in the province need to continue having more practical and meaningful activities such as caring for children who have lost their parents due to the Covid-19...
