To build up Tan Uyen Town on synchronous and sustainable development track

August 11, Tan Uyen Town Party Committee and people were delight at celebrating their local Party Congress for the 11^th time of 2015-2020 tenure with victorious happiness. Looking back to Tan Uyen establishment and development process, it is sure that locals are sharing the pride of history – the glorious D Warbase, the cradle of heroes in the two resistance wars, and the locality of strong socio-economic development speed in the stage of industrialization and modernization.

Heroic struggle

The old-time Tan Uyen land including the nowadays Tan Uyen Town has been in history of resistance war of the people. In wartime, D Warbase was the revolutionary onsite of Dong Nam Bo Region and the foundation for our forces to attack central organs of the enemy and their strategic bases for glorious and general victory of the people. Lasting through tremendous harsh, up and down times, D Warbase was recognized as a bright symbol of revolutionary Vietnamese heroism.

No victory is without sacrifices. In the two resistance wars against the French colony and US army, Tan Uyen locals, generally, had been suffering and sacrificing for the almost impossible missions. Those were the days of upturn when our forces were blood-bathed after the southern uprising in 1940, of famine and diseases in the leafless woods of D Warbase caused by enemy bombing, of the darkest evil puppet government of Ngo Dinh Diem with communist elimination campaigns and guillotine murder of our people and officers. It was strange that the more fierce the wars were, the more sustain Tan Uyen locals were as they believed int the revolutionary cause of the Party and great President Ho Chi Minh. Tan Uyen Party Committee and people, in wartime, eyed all as the same of determined and brave people moving forward one after another to face the challenges and life-threatening development with their revolutionary flags up hung until the day of nation unification.

Firm development

After liberation, Tan Uyen was the place of hardship. The wars left behind a destructed and ruined land but people were instantly getting back to their villages to renovate in unity. In 40 years of construction and development, Binh Duong Town has achieved significant results. Of low starting point after nation unification, Tan Uyen Town has emerged, by the determination of local Party committee and people, to a sustainably developing town.

The achievements made in Tan Uyen Town for the past tenure have been transparent in all aspects: economic structure has been revolving in right direction and industry-trade-service growth has been higher and higher year on year. Locomotive industry of the town has been maintained with more effective investment luring. Socio-economic infrastructure, particularly those of breakthroughs, has been concentrated on to facilitate development acceleration. Social welfare and national defense and security have been maintained. Material and spiritual life of people strata have been progressively improved with income per capita of VND 43.1 million a year. Ninety percent of families have been culturally qualified to enjoy the up-to-target cultural, social, medical, and educational fields.

In the next tenure and on promoting the glorious tradition, Tan Uyen Town Party Committee will uphold the ideology and determination of socialism targets, robustly get the opportunities and overcome challenges to maintain political and social stability, ensuring national defense and security. Besides, the town will boost up economic transition orienting to industry-service-agriculture. Industrial development is integral to development of residential areas as planned. Scientific and technological advancements are implemented to production to create high quality products. Industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural area will be urban-oriented. Socio-economic infra-construction will be synchronously constructed in modern manner to promote development. Economic growth will be integrated into social advancement, equality, and environment protection. Administrative reforms will be well implemented together with fights against corruption, wastefulness, and red-tape.

The town Party Committee will be concentrating on the construction and development of culture and people meeting the development demands and non-stop improvement of people’s lives with determination to make up a harmoniously developed and civilized urban out of Tan Uyen Town.

Currently, 2 industrial parks and 3 industrial clusters are covering 1,900 hectares in Tan Uyen Town accommodating currently 197 enterprises increased by 142 more projects than in the beginning of the tenure. The coverage has been 44.8 to 100%. Besides, the town has allocated small and individual projects to gradually occupy the planned regions for concentrated industrial production across wards and communes of Uyen Hung, Thai Hoa, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Khanh Binh, Tan Hiep, and Tan Vinh Hiep.
