On January 27, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the 3rd working day of 13th National Party Congress. Delegates took part in discussion about strengthening the close relationship between the Party and people, promote the strength of great national unity, strongly arouse patriotism and self-esteem, fulfill the aspirations for development, and a prosperous happy country.

Solidarity is a precious tradition

Tran Thanh Man, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front, presented a speech on "Promoting the power of great national solidarity, renewing content, methods, and improving activities quality of Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations", and stated: The 13th National Party Congress took place, while the people were encouraged, pride, appreciated the country's achievements in socio-economic development, improvement of people’s material and spiritual life, strong national defense - security, foreign affairs, Party and Government building, and corruption, negativity and wastefulness prevention and fighting. The people showed their confidence in the Party's leadership, and expressed their expectation in a bright future of Vitnam.

Chairman of the Central Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Tran Thanh Man emphasized: “Great national solidarity is a precious tradition of our nation, was forged through historical thousands of years of building and defending the country. The spirit of patriotism, dignity and mutual support has been in emotions and actions of each Vietnamese people. The great national unity has created a power, created glorious miracles, is the basic condition for the success of the national liberation in the past, as well as the renovation, construction, and development of the country today”.

According to Mr. Tran, the Party and Stage issued many guidelines and policies on great national solidarity in order for the Front to well perform the task of gathering, building and developing strength of the great national solidarity; implement democracy, strengthen social consensus; represent and protect legal and legitimate rights and interests of the people; perform social monitoring and criticism; participate in building the Party and State, activities of people’s foreign relations, contributing to building and defending the Fatherland. Patriotic emulation campaigns and movements launched by the Fatherland Front focused on socio-economic development, new rural construction, civilized urban, and sustainable poverty reduction.

Through social monitoring and criticism, the Fatherland Front participated in building clean and strong Party and Government; prevent and combat corruption, negative actions and wastefulness. Following the principle "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people monitor, people enjoy", members of the Fatherland Front built people’s models of self-governing, supporting each other in production, business, maintaining social security, safety, environmental protection, climate change response, study promotion, talent promotion, gratitude, charity ...

To develop the achieved results and overcome limitations, Party committees and authorities at all levels, need to thoroughly grasp Ho Chi Minh's thought on great national solidarity and the national unification front; consistently implement the point of view: Revolution is a cause of the people, by the people and for the people; create a favorable environment for the people to develop their talents, creativity, and bring benefits to the country. In the coming time, the Front's activities must be strongly oriented towards the grassroots and better promote the role of member organizations. Tran Thanh Man affirmed: With firm belief in the Party and State, the socialist regime and the power of national great solidarity, respect and promote achievements of the Party and the entire people, the Fatherland Front vowed to do its best, to mobilize all strata of people to join hands, and unanimously strongly arouse patriotism, compassion, pride, national pride, self-confidence, to innovate, create, foster the will, bravery, aspirations for development, build a prosperous and happy country.

Taking the people as the root

Nguyen Hong Linh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Mass Mobilization Committee, presented a speech on continuing to innovate the Party's mass mobilization, strengthen the confidence of people in the Party, strengthening the close relationship between the Party and people; and stated that the revolutionary cause is a cause of the masses; the Party defined mass mobilization to be a mission of strategic significance for the entire revolutionary cause, an important element to ensure the Party leadership and to strengthen the close relationship between the Party and the people. One of important lessons contributing to great achievements throughout history is "Taking the people as the root", promoting the role of mastery, creativity and resources of the people in national construction and defense. This is the complete thought that contributed to the Party's revolutionary cause overcoming all difficulties and achieving many victories. Mass mobilization of the Party in each revolutionary period had different contents and methods, but all aimed at the important goal of strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the people, strengthening the people's trust in the Party; mobilized and attracted majority people, arouse the patriotism, promote the strength of great national unity bloc for the national development.

Under the Party leadership, the State administration, over the past tenure, many guidelines and policies on socio-economic development, national defense - security and foreign affairs gained good results, contributing to improving material and spiritual life of the people. Party committees and organizations increasingly attached importance to listening to, grasping the situation and addressing the right aspirations, solving the pressing issues among the people, strengthened the propagation, encouraged the people to participate in the construction of political system and national development; contributing to strengthening the close relationship between the Party and the people...

In the demand of the party and the sustainable development goals of the Party and the country, Nguyen Hong Linh emphasized: Mass mobilization must innovate strongly, strengthen people's trust in the Party, strengthen the close relationship between the Party and the people; to gather and encourage people to well implement the Party's guidelines, policies and State’s laws; develop the great strength of the people, create consensus in revolutionary movements to build and protect the fatherland, successfully implement the industrialization and modernization of the country.

"Mass mobilization is strategically meaningful task to the revolutionary career of our country. Following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, promoting the Party's glorious 90-year tradition, and the engagement of the whole political system, with bravery, determination and joint efforts, we are confident that mass mobilization will continue to make important contributions to the revolutionary career of the Party, fortify people's trust in the Party, contribute to the victory of national building and defending in the new era" said Nguyen Hong Linh.
