On January 20, provincial Department of Information and Communications held a conference to summarize its works in 2021, set out tasks in 2022. In 2021, the results of the digital transformation index of Binh Duong province ranked 31/63 provinces and cities; the digital government component index ranked 28/63 provinces and cities; Digital economy ranked 5/63 provinces and cities. In addition, the state management of press activities, publishing, electronic information, social networks was performed carefully; promptly detected and proposed the Provincial People's Committee to handle incorrect information; strengthened the review, detection of violations, and data processing on social networks.
Dang Thi Bich Van recognized achievements of the information and communication sector in 2021. Besides, she proposed that Department of Information and Communications continue to perform well the tasks in 2022, focus on digital transformation in the province.
On this occasion, Ministry of Information and Communications awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives and 3 individuals having outstanding performance in state management and project implementation of digitization of terrestrial television transmission and broadcasting in 2020. Department of Information and Communications recognized 68 individuals who won the titles of "Advanced Laborer" and "Grassroots Emulation Fighter".
