To ensure stable power supply

Leaders of Binh Duong Power Company just informed that by November 2015, total commercial power supply of the province has gained over 7.3 billion kWh, increasing by 12.1% higher than previous term in 2014. From the beginning of the year, power cut in the province has not been incurred with ensured and stable supply.

Increasing indexes

Nguyen Thanh Nghia, the Planning Manager of Binh Duong Power Company informed that by November 2015, the major items of commercial power supply and saving, rural power supply, and budget payments of the company have increased from 2014. Particularly, the commercial power supply has gained 7.33 billion kWh, increasing by 12.1% higher than previous term in 2014. It is estimated that by the end of 2015, total commercial power supply in the province would be 8.75 kWh, increasing by 9.76% higher than in 2014.

Besides, by the beginning of 2015, the whole province has saved up 198 million kWh, meeting 119.6% of the year’s planning. By the end of 2015, it is estimated that total power saving would be 241 million kWh, meeting 145.6% of the planning and increasing by 9.76% higher than in 2014. This was thanks to the rational and continual communication in years by and between Department of Industry and Trade, the power supplying sector, organizations, agencies, unions, localities and the mass media in disseminating Law on saving energy use and efficiency.

Medicine Doctor Phan Cong Ly, the General Director of Becamex My Phuoc General Hospital in Ben Cat Town informed that the power saving scheme is implemented in safe and efficient manner by gradual replacement of lightings. Damaged lights will, for example, be replaced by new led lights for energy saving. The switchboard and air-conditioners of new installation must be branded with energy saving and inverter. Such actions help to reduce monthly costs and contribute to fire safety as the power use is under good control.

Investments to be made for quality

Currently, all 91 communes, wards and townships of the province have been constructed with power grid; 99.97% of households supplied with electricity, of which, 99.85% are rural households.

The recent site survey of provincial leaders at Bac Tan Uyen District showed that about 20 local households have not been supplied with electricity. Working with Bac Tan Uyen District, Tran Van Nam, the Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chair of Provincial People’s Committee has demanded for concentrated site surveys for supplying electricity to such households upon meeting the conditions and planning conformity.

Reportedly, by October 2015, EVN SPC allocated VND 122.9 billion of capital for Binh Duong Power Company to invest to major constructions of Uyen Hung – Dat Cuoc 110kV gridline, Dat Cuoc 110kV power station (connected by November 1), Thuan Giao 110kV station, and gridline joints (to be fulfilled by the beginning of 2016) among other constructions under project preparation and feasibility researches.

According to Nguyen Thanh Nghia, the new constructions are to improve power supply efficiency and quality to local production and daily life needs while ensuring safe, continual, and stable power supply for the cause of local socio-economic development.

Truong Chi Dung, the Director of Binh Duong Power Company informed that power cut and reduction have not been incurred from the beginning of the year, ensuring safe, continual, and stable power supply. This was thanks to great efforts of Binh Duong Power Company through time to improve quality power supply for better socio-economic development. In 2016, the company aims for exceeding the planning.
