Update: 14-06-2023 | 16:14:08

In order for children to relieve stress and have many practical experiences, many parents have let their children participate in gifted classes and trips. The choice has contributed to helping many families always be filled with joy and excitement for children to develop their own skills.

For the passion

As summer approaches, many parents often left in choosing the "fight" as their children have a long school break. The case was particularly for Nguyen Thi Nhung of Tan Phuoc Khanh ward in Tan Uyen city when summer holiday is an opportunity for her and her daughter to enjoy playing with colors at the painting playground. Nhung's child is very passionate about drawing and English, so without asking her mother, she applied for drawing lessons at the provincial Children's House and studied English at a foreign language center. "Seeing her happy with the pictures and bolder communicating with foreigners, I see all the hardships disappearing," said Nhung happily.

To help her son protect himself, Vo Ngoc Que Chi of Phu Tho ward in Thu Dau Mot city let her son join a swimming class at The Cuong swimming pool in Phu Loi ward. Chi said that the gym teacher at the school took students to swim lessons, so it was very convenient as the school hours coincide with the usual working hours.

“Through research, I found that learning to swim will help children develop physically. Regular swimming practice has been proven to help children improve cardiovascular and lung functions, and at the same time, increase their body's flexibility, endurance and resistance," said Chi.

To meet the needs of children's gifted learning in the summer, the provincial Children's House has and will organize many useful courses such as painting, Korean, English, informatics, calligraphy, folk, basic, aerobic, and modern dances, vocal, child modeling, martial arts, and swimming. Besides, there are skill development courses such as nurturing talent, teen summer camp dynamic, one-day program for children to experience etc. In addition, many young people participate in many music centers and gifted classes in the province.

Trips develop skills

Besides teaching their children to with arts, many parents have chosen to take their children to explore the beauty of their homeland and country and teach them practical life skills.

With joy, Nguyen Van Tuan of Thuan Giao ward in Thuan An city shared the interesting experiences after a trip with his family to explore the scenic cluster of Nui Cau, Dau Tieng Lake and Suoi Truc in Dau Tieng district. =Tuan said, the family has had useful trips as soon as the children are on vacation. All year children study hard while parents also work hard, thus, summer is an opportunity to have fun and travel to add energy for the new school year.

In the trips, Tuan's family is often close to have has many opportunities to talk, understand and share. Tuan and his wife also had the opportunity to closely observe the children's expression of emotions, including how they behave, so that if they find that the parenting style of the couple to be suitable with the child's psychology to adjust. In particular, he and his wife are also easy to give advice to their children to change bad habits, guide more necessary life skills so that they can confidently conquer challenges of climbing, exploring nature, and experiencing farmer's life.

According to Dr. Dong Van Toan of Thu Dau Mot University, letting children travel from a young age not only helps them be bold and learn to adapt to new environments but also helps them develop many important life skills. When at home, while parents "make up" with work, the children are also busy with homework. Therefore, travel is a time to help the whole family relax their minds and have common activities in discovering new lands. In addition, trips also help children to open their eyes to the new world, exercise their adaptability, get used to a no technology world, learn independence, develop thinking skills and vision, and learn to be patient. Traveling is an opportunity to teach children cultural behaviors to be kind people in front of crowds.
