To keep performing the covid-19 prevention and control in a new normal condition

Update: 06-11-2021 | 11:24:31

The committed participation of the whole political system, people, especially health branch - the frontline force against the pandemic, has helped Binh Duong basically control the fourth wave of Covid-19. In the "new normal" condition, municipalities, organizations, businesses and each citizen need to continue taking measures to prevent and combat disease to maintain good anti-pandemic results and protect the safety of themselves, their families and society.

Customers and employees are required to measure body temperature, hand disinfection, QR code scanning before entering Saigon Stec Company (Thu Dau Mot City).

To continue implementing the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health

To control the pandemic, many solutions have been implemented synchronously by the province to bring people's lives back to a new normalcy. In the current context, each citizen needs to further heighten their responsibilities towards the prevention and control of covid-19; continue to implement the "5K" message of the Ministry of Health, that is to strictly implement the mask wearing and keeping of distance between each other; install e-health books, Covid-19 PC application on smartphones, make medical declarations, and present personal QR codes as required. Residents should actively contact local authorities or their local health stations to be vaccinated against Covid-19; self-monitor health as having respiratory symptoms, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste. People should immediately notify the nearest medical station to be guided for safe medical examination and to carry out disease prevention control as prescribed.

Currently, measures to loosen social distancing have been implemented throughout the province. People need to continue to be aware of and strictly implement measures to prevent and combat the disease, not neglect or be subjective and only travel out of the province when absolutely necessary. People from other provinces, cities coming to Binh Duong province need to make medical declarations and comply with the province's regulations on disease prevention and control. Every citizen should be a soldier on the front of covid-19 prevention and control to bring life back to a "new normal" condition.

Vo Van Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: "Currently, the risk of this pandemic remains permanent and it may continue to have cases in the community, especially when the whole country is implementing the dual goal. Therefore, municipalities need to continue strengthening the role of state management in the process of safe, flexible and effective adaptation to the covid-19. In particular, departments, branches and municipalities need to prepare the necessary conditions to be ready to respond quickly when the pandemic situation changes. Each citizen and every business establishes a new normal status, both promoting socio-economic development and preventing combating disease at the grassroots level."

The Chairman emphasized: "We open up, do business but not be subjective, neglectful". Functional branches and levels must proactively set up plans to respond to pandemic situations for each agency, unit, factory, enterprise having large workforce and residential areas. Community Covid groups in residential areas and lodging houses need to intensify communication, information, and guide people on measures to respond to disease situations.

People actively participate in Covid-19 vaccination

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, getting vaccinated is a great happiness to all people, helping them feel more secure in their daily activities and strive to overcome this difficult time. As of November 5, the province had received 3,971,525 doses of covid-19 vaccine out of a total of 5,381,390 doses allocated by the Ministry of Health. Of these, 2,361,885 people had received one shots and 1,609,640 received second. Children aged 15 to 17 have also received 70,791 doses.

In order to protect the health and safety of all people when life returns to new normal condition, in addition to complying with the "5K" regulation and recommendations of the Ministry of Health, vaccination is an effective measure to help protect themselves, their families and the community from the Covid-19 pandemic. Getting vaccinated against Covid-19 is a right of all people, a responsibility to the community. All people living in the province if have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 should immediately contact the nearest health station to get vaccinated in a timely manner.

Associate Professor - Dr. Nguyen Lan Hieu, Director of Hanoi Medical University Hospital, said that, like other vaccines, covid-19 vaccine does not protect absolutely people vaccinated. This means that once you've been vaccinated against Covid-19, the vaccinated person can still get sick and infect others. Therefore, those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 still need to strictly wear masks, keep their distance and follow health sector recommendations to prevent the disease for themselves, protect the health of families and communities. Vaccines are also considered to be effective and long-term covid-19 prevention and control measures, while helping to reduce the rate of hospitalizations and deaths from Covid-19. There have been many studies proving that the world's licensed Covid-19 vaccines are effective in significantly preventing the number of serious cases, hospitalizations and deaths.
