Update: 03-03-2020 | 14:57:33

Due to unpredictable developments of Covid-19, schools in the province carefully prepared all aspects for welcoming students going back to schools.

When students return to school, teachers will remind them to wash their hands often to protect their health, and prevent the spread of this epidemic.

For the health safety of students, during the time when students took a break from school to prevent and control Covid-19, education and training sector, health sector directed schools to strictly perform preventive measures against diseases. Schools at all levels repeatedly performed cleaning, disinfecting school facilities, classrooms, utensils and toys. And teachers have been trained to guide students through disease prevention when they return to school in the future.

Furthermore, education and training sector collaborated with specialized agencies to conduct a survey of students who are living in epidemic areas, who returned to their home during Tet, or traveled abroad during the epidemic time, and the number of parents of students are working at Chinese companies. Thuan An City is a locality with strong industrial development, attracts a large number of workers from outside the province and foreign experts, thus the investigation and monitoring of students in this locality are performed more strictly. Huynh Thi My Ngan, Head of Education and Training Office of Thuan An City, said that the city had 4,568 students living in epidemic areas, 1,614 students returning home on Tet holiday, 4,750 parents working at Chinese company, and 9 children traveling abroad. These cases were monitored by education and training authorities and parents in14 days after coming back to Binh Duong.

The same is true for Phu Giao district, the authorities directed schools to guide students, teachers and staff to reduce contact with people who came from epidemic areas. The education and training sector also collaborated with health sector to monitor the health condition of teachers, students who returned from their hometowns, traveled, went through epidemic areas, had contact with infected people. Besides, schools also took notice of cases showing suspected signs of Covid-19 such as: Fever, cough, shortness of breath, and having close contact with infected or suspected cases within 14 days.

All activities to welcome students to school in the best condition were carried out promptly by the whole sector. Schools were equipped with body temperature measuring tools to monitor students' health as soon as they have initial symptoms. Le Minh Phuc, Head of Education and Training Office of Di An City, instructed schools to prepare adequate body temperature measuring devices to the number of students. This office asked schools to measure body temperature of students at foot of stairs or in front of classrooms. to ensure 100% students' body temperature is measured  in morning or afternoon. If a student has symptoms, like fever, cough, runny nose, shortness of breath, then school need to notify parents to take them to medical center for treatment. The office also designed students' daily body temperature cards when students return to school.

Schools have fully prepared the conditions and actively prevented the Covid-19 for students to return to schools. Through the follow-up visits to the disease prevention and control team of the Department of Education and Training, we have noted that. Every school also has a preventive health room to receive students having disease symptoms and have appropriate solutions.
