In the morning of February 9, Commission for Popularization and Education, Ministry for Information and Communication, and Vietnam Journalists Association held a new year press conference with attendance of Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee (CPVCC)’s Commission for Organization Tô Huy Rứa, Head of the CPVCC’s Commission for Popularization and Education Đinh Thế Huynh, and Minister Lê Doãn Hợp.

At the conference, Mr. Tô Huy Rứa affirmed contributions of national journalists into socio-economic development cause as well as national defense and security. They have helped to unite the people in the society and the Party to overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully implement target socio-economic development.

Meanwhile, Mr. Đinh Thế Huynh said that national journalism is entrusted by the State, the people, and the Party. He stressed on duty of journalism to put resolution adopted by the 11th National Party Congress into life so that the country will basically become modern industrialized nation by 2020.
