To well control the disease, perform four key tasks

Over more than 10 days of implementing the strategy to control and adjust Covid-19 measures in the "new normal" condition, Binh Duong has gradually controlled outbreaks, the number of daily new infection and mortality rates decreased markedly, vaccination rate increased. In the current period, under the direction of the Government and Prime Minister, Binh Duong Province continues to perform four key tasks, especially to collaborate with localities to transport people back to their hometowns and back from their hometowns, restore production while ensuring safety.

Four essential tasks

On the morning of October 9, at a nationwide online conference between the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control and 63 provinces and cities to evaluate the Covid-19 fight; discuss tasks and solutions to prevent and control the disease to pave the way for socio-economic recovery and development in the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 prevention and control, emphasized that the Covid-19 in the country was still unpredictable, the risk of disease spreading and a re-outbreak could happen anywhere, at any time. The Prime Minister asked all agencies, unions, localities and leaders at all levels to absolutely not be negligent, subjective, and wisely implement effective disease prevention control measures.

According to the Prime Minister, currently the disease situation nationwide and in the southern provinces, cities is basically under control. Large outbreaks in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong have markedly decreasing numbers of new infection and death, vaccination rate has increased. The Prime Minister acknowledged and appreciated efforts of the entire political system, Fatherland Front and mass organizations, as well as the consensus and response of majority people in the process of disease prevention control and production recovery.

In the directing and organizing process, the National Covid-19 Steering Committee and localities have employed principles and measures learnt from previous outbreaks, with three core approaches: narrow isolation, rapid testing must faster than disease transmission, and organization of treatment "from afar, from early, from the grassroots", contributing to reducing critically ill patients, deaths.

Referring to the key tasks in the coming time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated four key tasks, namely: Promulgating guidelines for safe, flexible adaptation, and effective disease control in a nationwide consistent manner; transporting people to and from their hometowns, transportation and traffic rules must be carried out uniformly across the country; continue implementing the vaccination strategy and resume production with safety criteria.

In addition to the key tasks, the Prime Minister demanded ministries, branches and localities to continue to perform well social security policies, not to leave any people behind; localities and unions do better in information and propagation work by reflecting the right situation, taking the positive to repel the negative, taking the beauty to eliminate the bad, not letting hostile forces take advantage of the disease situation. As for relief forces in the southern provinces and cities, the Prime Minister recommended to continue staying at these localities until the end of October, when the vaccine coverage has reached a relatively safe level.

The Covid-19 is under control

On the basis of the Prime Minister's conclusions, Binh Duong continues performing four key tasks, actively cooperating with other localities to transport people to and from their hometowns, resume production, enhancing propagation and effective control of the disease.

Vo Van Minh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that the province's disease prevention control results had gained some remarkable results. This shows that the province's anti-pandemic tactics have been on the right track and have well controlled the disease. The number of daily new cases decreases, the number of recovered cases increases every day, the number of deaths decreases.

The data in recent days show that the number of Covid-19 cases has gradually decreased, there were days when the number of new cases dropped sharply compared to the previous days. While at the end of August, early September, daily new cases was from 2,000 to 4,000 cases, this number has been recorded in three digits in the last 10 days, Besides, the number of recovered patients increased, there were days in which the number was 2-4 times higher than the number of new cases. Meanwhile, death rate also decreased.

However, according to Vo Van Minh, this is a complete success, thus in the coming time, the province will continue to perform important tasks, absolutely not neglect, be subjective, continue to give vaccinates to people, accelerate testing in key areas, focus on treatment, take care of social security, and quickly restore production and business activities while ensure safety in the new situation.

Regarding the factors that helped Binh Duong better control the disease situation in the past 10 days, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong, Director of Provincial Department of Health, said that in just ten days of adjusting anti-Covid measures in the "new normal" state, Binh Duong has gradually controlled outbreaks. This is the overall result of the measures, in which the health solutions of the Ministry of Health, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee are decisive, especially solutions for testing and determining disease levels are important.

In recent days, the province has conducted rapid testing, faster than the rate of disease spread in very high-risk and high-risk areas; and tested all cases having suspected symptoms, high-risk areas, mass gatherings to control and prevent new infection chains, protect green production chains. In addition to testing, the province also well organized community-based care and management of F0s, effectively promoted the three-tiered treatment model, and continued to strengthen and restore the healthcare system, and accelerate vaccine coverage to contribute to effective disease control.
