Seventy-nine years ago, during those historic autumn days, the people and military of Thu Dau Mot province, together with the entire country, rose up in unison to break the chains, reclaiming power and marking a significant turning point in the nation's history. This ushered the country into a new era—the era of independence and freedom towards socialism. Under the glorious banner of the Party, the people and military of Thu Dau Mot - Song Be - Binh Duong have always upheld the revolutionary spirit of the August Revolution, working together to achieve remarkable feats in construction and development, steadily advancing with the nation towards strength and prosperity.

Uphold the strength of unity and creativity

Today, Binh Duong has become one of the most dynamic localities, achieving significant accomplishments in all fields. The local economy is growing rapidly and the quality of people’s life is improving continuously. Social and cultural fields are receiving attention and investment; national defense-security are maintained and the Party and political system are being strengthened, consolidated... These important and proud achievements come from applying and promoting lessons on seizing opportunities from the August Revolution as well as the capability to swiftly and creatively implement the Party's policies and directions while fostering the great national unity bloc and the strength of the entire population.

Focusing on inter-regional infrastructure investment, Binh Duong has joined hands with the entire nation in promoting industrialization and modernization

After nearly 40 years of implementing the Party-led renewal policy, especially over more than a quarter-century of construction and development, Binh Duong has made outstanding progress. Thanks to industrial development in the right direction, Binh Duong has become one of the country’s leading industrial provinces and achieved remarkable success in transforming its economic structure towards industrialization and modernization. Through continuous efforts, Binh Duong is increasingly contributing to the growth of the Southern Key Economic Region and the entire country.

In recent years, global, regional and domestic situations have been complex, with economic downturns and the Covid-19 pandemic significantly affecting the province's development. However, under the flexible and timely guidance and support of the Government, the efforts, unity, creativity and high determination of the entire political system, business community and people from all people, Binh Duong has successfully achieved its socio-economic development goals and tasks, ensured national security-defense, built a clean, strong political system. The province's economy has recovered and continuing developing. The province’s economic structure is shifting in the right direction. The province’s annual State budget revenue has consistently met or exceeded the set targets. The province’s investment and business environment has continued being improved, attracting domestic and foreign investment with positive results. The local people's lives have received good care and the quality of education-healthcare has been improved constantly. In education, Binh Duong has consistently ranked among the country’s top localities with the highest average high school graduation exam scores nationwide….

Rising up with nation

After nearly 40 years of implementing the Party's renewal policy with the country and following the heroic revolutionary tradition of the legendary D War Zone, the Party Committee and people of Binh Duong have upheld the spirit of unity, dynamism, creativity and effort to overcome difficulties and challenges, leading the province to strong and comprehensive development, making positive contributions to the nation's overall development.

In his speech at the conference on “The development model of Binh Duong province in the national renewal process”, organized by the Central Theoretical Council and Binh Duong provincial Party Committee at the end of 2023, Prof., Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo Member and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics summarized: The extraordinary efforts of Binh Duong's rise are a great source of motivation and inspiration, stirring pride and aspiration for development not only among the people of Binh Duong, but also for the entire nation, showcasing breakthrough thinking, unique models and creative ways in the process of promoting the cause of comprehensive and synchronized renewal.

In these days, under the inspiring atmosphere of the historic August Revolution, along with the entire country, the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Duong are striving to achieve the highest goals and tasks for 2024, contributing to the successful implementation of the 11th provincial Party Congress Resolution and the 13th Party Congress Resolution; aiming at building Binh Duong into a sustainably developed, smart, civilized, and modern city by 2030 and by 2045, becoming a smart city of the region and the nation.

One of the province's top priorities is the implementation of the orientation, goals and tasks outlined in the Politburo's Resolution No.24 on socio-economic development in the Southeastern region. Accordingly, Binh Duong has focused on directing and thoroughly implementing awareness, roles and responsibilities to the entire political system, all-level authorities and sectors across the province. This has been concretized in provincial Party Committee’s Program No. 113-CTr/TU dated March 22, 2023, regarding the implementation of Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW on developing socio-economic aspects and ensuring national defense-security in the Southeastern region until 2030, with a vision to 2045 in Binh Duong province.

The province has clearly defined general and specific goals by 2030, with a vision to 2045. Particularly, the province will strive to become a smart city by 2030, meeting criteria to become a first-class city under the central management, a modern, worth-living, civilized and affectionate city; basically completing an inter-regional and regional traffic network, becoming a hub for trade and regional and global integration; fundamentally transforming the growth model, increasing the proportion of the service sector, especially high-quality services, aiming at becoming regional and global financial, commercial, educationaland healthcare centers, along with other services… By 2045, the province aims at becoming a locality with a modern economic structure; an important part of the scientific and technological and innovative center, with high-tech industries, logistics and one of the region’s financial centers.

With a heroic revolutionary tradition plus the spirit of uniting daring think, daring act, it is deeply believed that the entire Party Committee and people of Binh Duong will further promote the spirit of the August Revolution, being determined to successfully implement the set political tasks. The province will also continue promoting unity, self-reliance, and national pride and self-respect, overcoming all difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the 13th national Party Congress Resolution, the 11th provincial Party Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 tenure; striving to build Binh Duong into a sustainable, smart, civilized, modern, affectionate and worth-living province, contributing to building up a strong and prosperous Vietnam.
