To uphold traditional values

Over 88 years of development, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee was founded, led and trained by Vietnam Communist Party of and Uncle Ho, the first form of Vietnam United Front to Vietnam Fatherland Front, VFF has promoted the traditional solidarity, multiplied the patriotism of all Vietnamese people, united and gathered people of all classes into a powerful force to expel the colonial enemies, regained independence for the country, brought freedom, happiness for the people.

Along with the development of Vietnamese revolution, VFF continuously strengthened and expanded with different forms of organization and names, met revolutionary tasks of each historical period and made significant contributions to the national great cause, becoming one of the decisive factors for the victory of the Vietnamese revolution.

To implement the 12^th National Party Resolution and the Action Program of 2014-2019 tenure of the 8th VFF Congress, VFF continued to strengthen the national unity to build and defend the Fatherland; To mobilize people to participate in patriotic emulation movements, mobilize all resources for the successful implementation of economic development and protection of political security and social order safety, maintaining national sovereignty in the new situation, especially the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland; promote the mastery of the people, encourage people to participate in building the socialist legitimate state of the people, by the people, for the people; building the Party, the State, participating in the formation of legal policies; Promoting the role of member organizations and people in social criticism and supervisory; To fight against corruption, waste and bureaucracy; supervision of cadres, civil servants, Party members in residential areas; expand public relations, external relations, strengthen international unity, continue to innovate the content and mode of operation, improve the performance of VFF organizations to meet the above requirements.

In 2018, activities of VFF and socio-political organizations in the province continued to be reformed in terms of content and operation, strongly oriented towards the grassroots, contributing to stabilize the general situation and development of the province. Achievements in socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2018, besides great efforts and determination of the entire political system, were contributed by people from all walks of life and enterprises in the province. VFF at all levels collaborated with member organizations to gather people to implement well the campaign "All people unite to build new rural and civilized city", mobilized resources to take care of material and spiritual life for poor households, take measures to ensuring environmental hygiene and concretizing rural roads. Within the campaign "All people unite to build new rural, urban civilization" associated with the movement "The whole country join hands for the poor”, VFF Executive Committee at all levels encouraged businesses and benefactors to contribute to Fund for the Poor, over VND33 billion (as of 15 Nov 2018), while province-level fund accumulated over VND8 billion. Thanks to these activities, poor and near-poor households in the province were took care. In particular, for the implementation of the movement "All the people protect the Fatherland’s security", VFF and its member organizations promoted its role as the core force in propaganda, mobilizing, grasping the situation and participating in general activities of the province, contributing to maintaining security and order in the province, while complicated situations occurred in some localities in the country in June-2018.

To connect the community

In the mid of November, 586 quarters and hamlets in the province held the great national unity day. This was a chance for the community to re-evaluate their activities during the year, to commend outstanding individuals and families as well as to present the direction for activities in 2019. The National Unity Day strengthened the solidarity spirit among the community. This year, the Great Unity Day was held simultaneously on 16, 17, 18 Nov in 586 quarters and hamlets in the province.

Residential areas solemnly organized this day, attracted a large number of participants from all walks of life; in which provincial leaders were presented at 60 places, gave 600 gifts to poor households worth totally VND600 million. Especially, on this occasion, Binh Duong province was honored to receive Truong Hoa Binh, Member of Politburo and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, at Great Unity Day in Binh Quoi A Hamlet, Binh Chuan Ward, Thuan An Township; and Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President, at the Great Unity Day in Dong Tam Hamlet, Tam Lap Commune, Phu Giao District.

These Party and State comrades learned about local situation and encouraged the people, gave gifts to outstanding households, gifts to poor households, policy families, and scholarships to poor studious students worth totally over VND200 million. This was an honor of local people, encouraged the community to strive, actively participate in patriotic emulation movements. At the same time, VFF at all levels in the province has been carrying out emulation movements and works to welcome VFF congresses at all levels to the 9^th National VFF Congress 2019-2024 with great enthusiasm and confidence.

Nguyen Thanh Liem, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of Provincial VFF Committee, said that VFF congresses at all levels to the 9^th National VFF Congress 2019-2024 was an important event, also a widespread political and democratic activity to raise both the political system and the people’s awareness and responsibility of performing the Party's strategic direction on strengthening the great national unity; on the position and role of VFF in the new situation. At the same time, this was also the process, in which VFF put forward practical solutions to consolidate, strengthen organizational structure and staff, accelerate campaigns, emulation movements, make achievements to welcome VFF congress at all levels.

To uphold traditional values, VFF at all levels keep gathering and uniting all classes of people; Through campaigns and emulation movements to promote the integrated strength in building civilized and modern Binh Duong.
